Well, my beloved Pens went down in 5 and I will give the Sens credit where credit is due, they shut the Pens down hard. The Sens look awfully strong, but I think it is premature to pick them to win it all. The Rangers look strong as well, and before game 3 I would have pick the Red Wings to sweep through everyone, but now they look beatable. We shall see.

It will be Canucks vs Ducks in Round 2. That'll be a good series.

GO PENS IN 2008'
I came late to this thread, but as a long time Pens fan (since 88) I am ummed to see them out of the playoffs, but you can't go 0-15 on the powerplay in the playoffs and win, especially after it was our bread and butter all year. Emery was stellar in goal, I'd say he proved himself w/out question. The Sens certainly played fiercely, and Kudos to their D.
As for what the Pens accomplished this year, with a 47 point turn around, the top scorer in the league (the Wizard of Croz), the top rookie scorer in the league (Malkin), the top shorthanded scorer in the league (Staahl), and the 2nd in defensive scoring (Gonchar), there's no question the talent and coaching is there. I think this was a big lesson to these young guys on how intense the playoffs are. So for this year now for me, it's Go Sens. And lookout for the Pens next year!

I agree. I give the Sens credit for great defense last night, especially in that first period. Pens had their chances, no luck. And they did out play them in game 4. As stated- Lookout next year!!!!!
