I do remix and production work in the genre of tech house/dub/electro.

Nice Thread. I also make Hip Hop beats. I've been doing beats off and on since I was 16 (26 now). I currently use Korg Triton Keyboard, Cubase SX 3.0, Native Instruments Bundle Pack and a bunch of other software.

When I originally started I used my computer keyboard as my piano producing on programs like Fastraker and Impulse Tracker, but this was back in my raver days when I was into D&B and Hardcore (gabber) and it was all I could afford at the time. When I turned 18 I really started getting into hiphop and started going to hiphop shows and been making hiphop beats since then.

I dont really have a style that I can be compared too, but you will probably hear a west coast style to my beats. I dont use any samples although I did want to start with an MPC and some tables, but I quickly made up my mind that i am more of a from scratch kinda person. I play the piano a little and pretty much just build on what I hear in my head. I just dont feel the same pride when I try to make sampled beats. I'll probably make a sampled beat some day though. The link below is my page to RocBattles.com and I havent posted a beat on here in over a year and I have a bunch more newer beats but check them out. I have a myspace that I dont use so I'll probably upload some newer beats to my myspace account someday.

I play trumpet semi-professionally freelancing in the area and with a band called The Electric City Horns . I also hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music eduaction.
