Unhappy 8thcivic Soap: Sad and depressing day for me

The reason why I bought a 2007 Honda Civic is that I want to start dating without being embarassed about my car. And a very big reason I bought my Civic is a girl at work named Melanie. Well, I bought the car and a few weeks later, I still didn't have the guts to ask her out. She was definately single but I didn't want to ask her out right away. She's actually a volunteer at my workplace so she comes to work once every week for 2 hours. Being a shy person myself, I just didn't have to guts to ask her out. Today, during my lunch break, she was talking non stop about her boyfriend... I was like, SHE JUST NETTED A BOYFRIEND?!? I WAS LIKE DAMN. I wasted over 26000 grand Canadian dollars so I could at least ask to girl out so she could ride in my Civic and then I find out she has a boyfriend. I swear, today, I was going to ask her out, say, to watch a movie or go out for dinner. I spoke to her today and she didn't give much eye contact and she didn't want to talk much. So, it definately means, she found a boyfriend! Man, she's just so sweet, cute, and intelligent.... and very good looking!!

LOL. Dont worry theres soooo many more girls out there. If you wanted your car to get you girls you should have sucked it up and bought a BMW. Well at least the civic wont embarass you, it will be a +1 whereas a BMW would have been +10, lol.

I feel where your coming from with your old car though. I had a 92 accord before and it looked like shit, rust and everything. I always was embarassed to bring a girl back to my car cause i knew it would be a big negative for me. At least now with the Si, i'll get a +1, lol

Such is life my friend. Snooze you lose, sometimes. But a girl that needs you to have a slick car isn't much of a girl. I understand you wanted it to be that way, but that's just a nickle's worth of free advice from an old guy.

Civic pick-up chick Don't worry man The right person will come to you sooner or later. Honesty, I was very shy person in high school. I lost allots of opportunities at that time with girls. Learned from your past mistake and correct it for the next time around.

P.S. After I got over my shyness. i have date/sex with 6 nationality later in July I'm getting mary.

First off, you should have bought the car for you not to impress some girl. She should want to be with you not your car. If that's the case, she's a shallow person and will not be worth your time. None the less, if you do things only to impress others, then you yourself will never be happy.

Now, BlueFox, you have a nice car. I'm sorry you don't see that. You sound like a sweet guy so you should use that to get her. Also, there are a million beautiful, sweet, intelligent and engaging girls out there. Don't limit yourself to just one.

Wait, isn't April Fool's Day over? Or did you really spend that much money to impress a chick?

Ok, maybe I'm just jaded, but to the above I say: Yes there are! But they are either married, b/f, engaged or psycho bitches

I swear to God that every girl I meet that I happen to be interested in (which is'nt often) always have a b/f or are married!!! WTF!!! I think all the good ones are taken. Plain and simple!

I guess it's too much to ask these days that a woman be: single, intelligent and relatively cute...

rant done

**to the ladies out in 8thcivic.com, is there one of you? nay someone with the driving motivation to **gasp** "WOW" a man out there?**

scratch that...

just curious, would any of the females in our audience would go to such lengths as "Blue Fox" has?

Blue Fox the weird thing is, if this girl Melanie, knew your real motives indirectly, she would probably tear up and kiss you silly. But if you just went up directly and told her, you would be the fool instead of the brooding hero, odd huh? (this analysis is brought to you from years upon years of movie watching experience... there has to be some truth on those)

This is no joke. 26 grand Canadian isn't a whole a lot of money. I didn't want to buy a BMW because I wanted to save up for my own place. I could afford a BMW or even a Porsche Boxter but I ended buying a Civic instead. Yes, this person named Melanie. She just blew me away... a really sweet, caring, intelligent girl who volunteers at my workplace. I just couldn't help it so I said to myself.. I HAVE TO BUY A NEW CAR!!!!!! So, I made a economical choice, a 2007 Honda Civic, which I said to myself... reliable, good looking, not trying so hard. The biggest mistake I made this year or should I say, in about the last ten years of my life is not asking this girl out. Yeah, I wanted her to be my girlfriend. Oh well, I just found out that she has a boyfriend today. I was depressed and sad at work and I tried hard not to show it. This is one chapter that I will remember in my life, because she flirted with me at work so much.... even asked me if what I was doing after work... and she even said happy Valentines to me on Valentines day OH WELL, it's all over.

My dear dear friend, you just need to look in a different place. Although, we say the same thing about you guys. But then again, maybe you just have enough personal integrity that when a girl tells you that she has a significant/insignificant other you actually don't persue further. If that is the case then good on you and/or I'm sorry.
