I work in an area where most of the woman are like snobs. Well, they only like guys who are well off and if you don't have a newer model car that'll look down at you. Melanie is one person whom made me buy the Civic. Now, I'm depressed as heck that she has a boyfriend. I think the reason why she wasn't impressed about me and she was bragging about her boyfriend for the very first time is because I told her I live with my parents in the suburbs - she didn't sound impressed at all.

Okay, women of the world don't hate me for this. I hope I'm not giving away a secret here:So you say they have issues with the b/f huh? Dude! That is your cue. Time to be a supportive friend. That is how you ease your way into what seems like a sticky situation. Chicks are always gonna have somebody. Boyfriend hopping is a way to avoid being labeled a "ho". As far as work goes, most women meet their mates at work. It's sort of safer that way. At least then you know something about the dude so you already kind of have a heads up as to whether or not he's a total freak or not. Hell, I met my husband at work. |

First, you chose the Civic for all the wrong reasons.. because if you think about it.. if it didn't work out between you and her.. you'd be stuck with a car you didn't purchase because it was fun to drive.. you bought it to impress her.. so that's the first mistake.. Second, she's pretty shallow if she's into guys with nice cars.. if she really likes you.. she'd like you whether you drove a Civic or a Pinto.. Third, it's better to regret something you did than to regret not doing something.. this way.. there are no "what ifs" or "I wonder what would happen if i did this.." you'd know the end of the story and be done with it.. if she said no.. then its a no.. end of story.. you can move on knowing you tried and it didn't work out.. But yeah.. there are more girls out there.. trust me.. keep your head up and happy fishing. That is all. Edit: I just realized I'm a slowass when it comes to typing up replies.. so basically all I just said has been mentioned before.. damn and yeah.. to Caliguy.. atruhondagrl's right.. when girls have problems with their bfs.. you should be the "best friend that has always been there".. yeah in movies.. especially those chick flicks.. the girl goes for the rebel or the "bad boy".. but in the end.. the nice guy always gets the girl |

I don't believe this ****** thread. How old are you?!?! Seriously, you bought a car to get a girl? This was bound to fail from the beginning. It sounds like, the way you put it, that she asked what your after work plans were and such, that she was setting it up for you to ask her out. You missed that boat.
Now, she just started dating this guy, the world is not ****** over for crying out loud! It may not work out. And I'm not condoning going after taken people, but I think in this case, you sound really young, so maybe if you ask her out she may decide to take you up on that offer and you may hit it off and the other guy falls outta the picture. And seriously, not all of the seemingly *perfect* girls are taken, handicapped, or psycho!!! I'm not saying that a lot of girls don't have issues, because yes they do, but not all of them. This is one stereotype I can't stand! /end my rant! So, basically what I'm saying is, grow a pair and ask her out anyways. If she says no thanks, move on. And if she works at this place you claim all the women are snobs, then how do you know she's not just like them. (Disclaimer: it is possible, but VERY rare, that she may be lying about the boyfriend to see your reaction. See comments about girls with issues. If this is the case, you probably don't want to date her anyways)

I know all this! What do you think I'm doing???? In fact, one of these two women is coming to my place for drinks on Friday In fact, this one already said she would bang me in a heartbeat if she didn't have a b/f...As for the other one (the one I'm more interested in): I'm gonna ask her over to my crib to check out a flick on Saturday (she's a film buff like me)...we shall see Being that I've never been in a serious relationship I actually know a lot about women (not bragging)...
