What the hell is the attraction to a set of wheels that are black with like colored lip(regardless of whether they're repainted,TA's,replicas,etc)?

Half the time it seems like it doesn't match the car it goes on. Black with blue lip on a ASM?

Or even weirder, TW with black and a red lip? on a GG?

I don't get it, the red doesn't match anything on a TW.

I'll admit they're.. different, and I can understand it..

IF it was like a Black/Red on say.. a NBP or RR/Habi

I saw this style on 2 Jeeps yesterday, one with swampers, one without. I almost gagged both times. Neither Jeeps had the matching body color, to either the wheels, or the lip.

What's the deal people? Why do you like this style so much? Why would you put it on a car that didn't match?

Personally this is why I like them... I like stuff to match... ok say I drive a RR Si I want TA wheels the black matchs the tinted windows and the lip matchs the car... and another thing I only think they look good on NHBP, RR, and TW

Im sure there are people who disagree or dislike with how you deal with your car. How your car looks is subjective, people hate or love the ferrri enzo. Come On people you should Know by now that almost everything in the world is subjective, and what does it matter that you do not like how someoe is modding their car, its not yours. Tough up and accept that you cant control everything in the world and take it as it is That is all

I just got my wheels corlor matched to my gg and I have had nothing but compliments, other than the damn center caps don't match. I love the way it looks!!

why is an si badge red.... why is the sky blue... why is water wet?

why do cars come in any other colors but black or white...

oh wait... its called individuality... the problem with the internet is that people can't realize that FORUMS... are groups of people all in the same hobby spread out through the country and world.

So if there is a guy on the "forum" with the SAME exact car as me... someone here says OMG... that looks like so and so.. you should change this..

MEANWHILE in the real world.. those 2 cars will never cross paths....

I dunno where the hell you live but I never see ANY time attack colored ANYTHING during my normal travels.

People need to start leaving their houses and shut off their world of warcraft accounts and get lives.

btw... the "time attack" coloring has been around for over 10 yrs with mugen wheels and other models.
just happened to come out on a "classic" style like the te37 and cause a comotion in the import community....just as the le37t's did... 6 years ago

But yeah, alot of people out here rock the "TA" style. Anything from Neons to Jeeps to a occasional ep or ek. But do ya do it just to be..different?

I have no idea why these styles are becoming such a sensation these days, especially around in my parts of town. When half the time its a black/red on something like a Jungle Green kinda effect.

I got a NPB si and put all black rims. I personally love the color, and so that is why I wanted my car to be completeley black (tinted windows/tails and wheels).....but like some people have said "to each his own"....

We all have diff. taste in music/women/clothes/political agendas/etc.....so why do people have such a hard time seeing someone tailoring their car to their liking?

As much as I hate to think about it, you might be right.

It's the latest thing, everyone is getting pulled into it because all the cool guys are doing it. Sometimes they don't even think about whether it really looks good on their ride or not.
