BBQ is in some ways much like the way prehistoric man cooked his food when fire was first discovered.

However one could also argue that the use of fire represents a major technological advancement, one of a civilized culture, so therefore the BBQ is civilized

BBQ is the oldest form of cooking. I think it's very civilized... Humans are the only species that cooks their food.

when burning charcoal you are realesing carcinigens, or cancer causing agents, into your food. Their for its entirely possible that by eating BBQ you can give yourself cancer.

As far as the sauce goes, its disgusting. garlic salt and a little A1 = good BBQ. And don't even think about BBQs Chicken. Ughh.
