wtf, T-Mobile?!

So, I was planning on getting a new phone today from T-mobile: the Motorola RIZR. The release date was supposed to be today. I called the store and asked the lady about the phone. She said that they have pushed back the release date to an unkown date. I've been waiting since September for this phone and was finally going to get to change plans to someone besides Cingular. Bummer.

I don't want to pay $200+ for this phone, especially since I am switching carriers soon anyway. I figured I'd get this from t-mobile and be set. Now I have to wait for t-mobile to come up with something before June. My fiance and I have decided to go with t-mobile family plan, since she already has t-mobile and has never had a problem getting service.

service w/ sidekick SUCKS....

and I strongly discourage moto purchases... their phones hardware is the worst.. although,, their phones are pretty,, they're not functional!
get a samsung.. or a smartphone (all but moto,, lol)
I know what I'm talking about :].. I've been through like 10 phones in the past 2 years.. just because I didnt like it, etc ;].

Thanks for the incredibly detailed response that provided much help in my question of whether or not Motorola products suck.

Wow, from Cingular to T-Mobile, isn't that a step backwards?!? Cingular is pretty good, T-Mobile just sucks, why not get Verizon it's by far the best service. That's just not an opinion, Consumer Reports agrees with me too, Verizon is the top rated service provider in every major metropolitan area that they tested aside from the one area that had a local service provider that rated a little higher than Verizon. And T-Mobile was the lowest rated provider in just about every region.

It's all relative to where you live/travel.

I can say this: I've had cingular for 6+ years. I've NEVER had service inside my house. I have to walk outside to use the phone and even then I only get 2 bars at most. There's also 2 major areas that my service cuts out completely as I go through.

My fiance, who has had T-mobile for longer than I've known her ALWAYS has service everywhere we go. She has full service at my house, and in those trouble areas for Cingular. We've been to Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Northwest Kentucky, and Orlando. All except Vegas, we drove to. Her phone has had service everywhere we went. At Disney World when I had nothing, she had full service. That's why I'm going to T-Mobile.

Granted, this could be completely reversed depending on where you live, but for me Cingular sucks.

to say the least.. although it may sound to you like a good marketing gimic.. cingular is raising the bar..
but I think tmobile did spend something like 99 billion last year in upgrading their towers.. idk.. but cingular was previously sharing towers with tmo and like.. now they're getting their own...
