Warning about Si Civics

I think there is a dark secret being kept about our cars. Something sinister.

I think my car is possessed.

I also think my car is trying to take over my mind.

Hear me out. I have always been a fairly modest driver. Maybe going a few over the speed limit but not much. Maybe got one ticket every 3 or 4 years.

That is until I got this car. I have just gotten my 3rd ticket since buying this thing a year ago. This last one was a 92 in a 65. Stupid cops have unmarked F-250 pickups now, look like frigg'n construction workers until it's too late.

Anyways...

After my first ticket I swore I would slow down and I did for a few months. Then I got my second one and I really swore I would slow down and I did for maybe a few weeks.

I just cannot control myself. I don't know if it's the sweet drone of the engine, the feel of vtec or some demonic entity but something takes control of me when I get behind the wheel.

Needless to say I've changed my mind about mods and won't be buying anything to make my car faster.

I need help! I don't care if it's advice or even if you know a good exorcist but I can't afford to keep getting tickets. Let alone the insurance hike or the risk of losing my license.

Hurry, I think I need to go to the store soon.

Go trade in your Si for one of those Geo Metros with 3 cylinders But the problem with that is you will probably get a ticket for driving too slow

Wow, can't take a joke? Ofcourse it was his fault.

I know a good exorcist that can make your head stop turning circle, but driving fast? I think your gunna have to prey to the car gods for that one.

I've been pretty good about my driving in this car. The only times I go substantialyl faster than I'm supposed to is when I'm merging onto a freeway from an on-ramp when there is hardly any traffic, or when I pass somebody.

I can't redline my car without speeding crazy; it gets to the speed limit (and beyond, way too fast.

I'm a moderate driver and haven't gotten a ticket since my sophomore year in high school, and I'm a sophomore in college right now. I don't really speed, the max I go over is 10 on the freweay, and that is if I'm flowing with traffic.

I typically have no desire to speed. I like going the speed limit. I probably should've gotten an EX, because I'm more budget minded than redline minded with my Si .

The other thing is how easy it handles at high speeds, and how fast it brakes... get a radar detector

i know what you mean...not to mention when your doing 90 the car handles like your doing 60. The only time i speed is when i gotta make it to class or i have a sudden urge at a red light with nobody in sight.

totally agree man. hmm speaking about radar detectors, what do you guys think is the best? ive read that valentine is the best but at $400 its really pricey. then again a ticket will end up costing you more in the long run. any input on radar detectors?

What state uses F-250s? I hear Kentucky is using service vehicles to run speed traps.

They have those here in Florida also..they're pretty wicked..they do look like regular work trucks..then all of a sudden this bar of lights flops out of the back end, and the front end...you're like, WTF? Am I being pulled over by a Tow Truck?? In florida, we get these dickhead cops that like to pull up next to you, in like GT Mustangs, with 5% tint on them..and rev their motors up, and get u to race them...and then they pull u over...talk about a SPEED TRAP!!

I've been pulled over once in this car, for illegal tints and no front license plate.

But I didn't get a ticket :)

For the most part I always go the speed limit. Once in a while I get a tickle and I'll open her up for a few seconds when there's no one around and I'm on the highway.

Yep, I'm in Florida. Definitely entrapment of sorts. I felt like asking him if his truck rode on rails because mine does and he probably endangered everyone on the interstate more then I did by following me in that giant contraption. I of course didn't.

Driving the speed limit from now on, gonna drive be a church and throw some holy water on my ride. That should fix things.
