I like hearing celebrity gossip from time-to-time. I'll admit it. But typically, it annoys me beyond belief. I don't care that some actress farted in public. I don't care that she just bought a ten million dollar house.

I look on Yahoo or other websites for news, and these news stories generate FAR more views than ones regarding United States or Global news, even stuff not pertaining to the war. What the hell is wrong with this picture? Anyone?

If I have to turn on the TV one more time and hear about more Anna Nicole Smith developments, I swear to God I'm cancelling my cable contract, because I am not paying monthly to hear "Breaking News: Anna Nicole Embalmed." No offense, I don't care. I didn't mind hearing about it when she first passed, or hearing about what really happened, but enough is enough.

The men in her life won't let her mother have her child back to bury her. How disgusting. Have they no shame? And the fact that this is on every major news channel at least 5 times an hour makes me sick.

Also, Britney Spears. Stop. Just stop. Seriously. You used to be my *** goddess (Madonna's queen, however), but you make me throw up in my mouth anymore. I don't care that she shaved her head to hide her drug addition, I don't care that she dropped her baby, and I most certianly don't care that she checked herself in and then out of rehab in twice in less than a week, with apaprently 24 hours or less in between them.

My bottom line is, do we really have to have headlines every time Sean Connery burps? This information may be fun and interesting, but I'd much rather hear about some unknown or unsung hero doing some good and furthering this country, not just giving the world more ammo to use against us.

Sorry for the rant, just a bit irritated.

Heard on the radio that k-fed was going to take her hair to have it tested for the drugs. Therefore, she goes bald.

But yeah, thats all you hear these days. All celebrity crap that retarded people cant get enough off. I was kinda pissed this morning since all the celeb gossip was for talked about for 30 mins or so and only 2 minutes was taken to mention tha Tony Blair is taking his troops out of the Iraq mess.

I guess celeb gossip get more people to listen rather than the war????

Where I work we have 3 TV's in the bar area and I occasionally watch if we are slow. We have two TV's on sports, the other on a news channel. It has been non-stop Anna Nicole Smith since the second she died.

I'm sure this is the way she would've wanted it though. A life of drama is only complimented by a death filled with drama.

Personally I hate all that shit too. I also hate commercials. Commercials have to figure out a way to either give you info, remind you to buy, or sell you crap. They all suck. They are wasting my time to begin with so if I take notice on the radio that I hear a comm. I get angry. This is why digital music is so successful. No commercials on your ipod (yet).

These days I listen more to classical and (intelligent) talk radio like the CBC. Much less commercial and not for the crap that I always here. The music and news is all new too. I don't have to hear the same shit 8 x a day.

I was flipping thorugh the channels, and CNN is doing this developing case with the subtitle, "Judge says he could rule on Anna Nicole Smith verdict at any moment."

I'm listening to this tool speak, and it is blatantly obvious this is a media orgy for him and he loves it, and is milking it for all its worth. He's going on and on, trying to be funny, and I'm just sickened.

Seriously. This is ridiculously. Why have the two men not been forced to have a paternity test yet? Why is this mother not alloewd to bury her daughter?

Thats why I watch sports and listen to sports radio 100% of my time!!! Yeah you hear way too much about certain people or things sports related from time to time but its more entertaining than gossip celeb crap. I agree 100% with this thread!
