There's always a lesson to be learned. Go teach them youngsters how to drive properly in the snow!

You'll still have to make them up later. My wife teaches, and never has to fight through the snow to get to work. She doesn't understand why I drive into work in bad snow... because I don't have a choice.

Must be nice...I do believe the University of Minnesota has not had a "snow day" since 1994, and that was so bad that the Governor declared all federal offices (including the University) be closed.

Wishful thinking. I'm not holding my breath.

I worked E.D. in the county school and I loved my snow days--Just recently went back to work as a 911 dispatcher and we are sometimes held over or called in early in bad weather---I miss school (but not necessarily all the students)

We don't get let off the hook so easily here. There was a giant snow storm last winter when it was exams. The best they could do was extend the exam by 30 minutes, but everyone came very late, so it wasn't very much help. There was no way the school was going to reschedule the exam times either since they were set from the very start.

We're expecting 15 - 20 centimeters of snow overnight today and I've got a major assessment tomorrow at noon. I've set my alarm clock an hour early!

No, no snow! I'm in Chicago and need the freighters to take my TV and I need my friend to help me drive stuff to the UPS store. Snow makes that harder. Plus this state is soo flat you can't even have fun with it.

Glad ya'll had a nice day off though.
