Man I think that's just how the world is now a days and I don't see it getting better anytime soon. Society as a whole is crumbling, and these ignorant people are not helping.

I agree. I know a lot of them I listed were anti-***, and I'm not trying to "load" my agenda, so to speak, but they were the most vile of all of them, hatefully speaking. They also list countless comments against other affiliations.

I truly do respect the fact that people may not agree or like certain genders, people, religions, orientations, and races, but that doesn't make saying such things okay...

A lot of those people are religiously affiliated... Have you noticed how those types of people are just picking and choosing stuff from the Bible to support their claims? I wouldn't say Canada is perfect, but I would say that for one thing we seem a lot more tolerant and accepting

As for this guy--> Fred Phelps- runs the website godhatesfags. Also protests military funerals of those killed in Iraq because we're a country that harbors "fags".
I just watched a thing on youtube the other day... really good BBC documentary following his family.

That's part 1, it's 7 parts, all are on the right side of the page so you can easily watch it.

I think people like the ones you listed Mike are the type that actually frighten me. Some of them don't apologize, but even the ones that do don't mean it.
And the most frightening part of all is the person who fits in perfectly with these miscreants is George W. Bush, the leader of the free world. (I hate to bring him up again, but reading those names made me instantly think of him.) I know some people won't agree with me (he did get voted in, didn't he? :)) but in my opinion, anyone who invokes religion to justify war is using that religion for their own ulterior gains.

And while we're at it, what are these people's problems with anyone who isn't a white male??? So what if someone is Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, male, female, homosexual, heterosexual, white, black, yellow, green, blue or whatever colour/orientation/whatever you happen to be. These people make like someone woke up one morning and said, "You know what? I feel like being black," or "Everyone's straight, I think I'll be different and be *** for a while." You are who you are and anyone who can't respect that deserves to be horse-whipped.
Okay, I'm done. :) [/rant]

Refering to J-Ro's post I totally agree. Everytime I see these people on tv who are dnouncing people for the way they are, whether it be religion or sexual orientation, piss me off. I can't understaind how someone thinks that another person would choose to be ***/black/muslim knowing how much different;y they would be treated. This "church" that is protesting soldiers funnerals just makes me sick. I can't understand how people can celebrate someone's death and they say thats gods way of punishing out country?!?!?! All I know is I have friends and family overseas right now and god fobid it, but if someting happens to them and someone protest their funneral, I can garuntee you I will be going to jail. ./rant

Cabin Fever. Literally

September 20, 2007.

For those of you who have followed my posting the last few weeks, I've spent the better part of them in the service bay at a dealership about 20 minutes away from Minneapolis. My Si had rattles like crazy, and throughout the course of the week or two, I got them all fixed. Except one. One gremlin remains.

The left most driver's side vent area (it could be the speaker near the windshield too) rattles like crazy, almost constantly, but the problem is, sometimes it stops. There is no rhyme or reason to it, it just sometimes doesn't do it. This, of course, drives me nuts, because I'm sure the dealer thinks I'm crazy. My tech heard it once, but not "enough to warrant tearing it apart" because he wasn't sure of the exact location.

Anyways, they told me to drive back whenever I wanted if it started doing it. Well, the last three days it has done it all day when I drove it around campus and my apartment, so each day I've driven 20 minutes to Burnsville to bring it in. But guess what. The rattling stops the second I pull in the dealership lot. I swear to God, it does. It makes me feel crazy, but it has done that every day for the last three days.

In other news, back to people and their lack of manners or common sense. I am so tired of people not using their blinkers. That stalk on the steering wheel column is there for a reason. Use it, especially in bumper to bumper city traffic. I almost got nailed by an Acura SUV three times in under a minute, because she failed to look to see where I was, and started making a lane change without her blinker. I advocate making the misuse or non-use of a blinker a felony, punishable by death.

Agreed. Worst are the one that are bad drivers, yet still use their blinker. I was getting on an on-ramp and had passed the point of no return. I guess i was wrong because this guy in a white pickup puts on his signal, crosses 2 lanes of traffic, crosses over the solid white line and thatch pattern that separates the on-ramp from the rest of the road and cuts me off. Sure he used his signal, but i wanted to betchslap him.

I'll post a more coherent entry tomorrow. I just kinda randomly thought to update it and threw a few things together.

I am starting to think that some people in trucks and SUVs are having a hard time seeing our cars.

I'm not sure if it is that or just the fact that they don't care / aren't smart enough to look 1st.

But now everyone screams about how their rights are being violated and it's a free country.
"It's a free country," it's like the biggest marketing campaign in history. The fact that people have bought in to this has completely taken every ounce of respect out of peoples lives. They don't care to show respect to anyone that they don't know, why should they? They have freedom of speech on their side.

I think you are actually correct, but completely wrong. We dont have nearly enough freedom, it is being taken from us every single day because people dont stand up for it.

You are right, everyone stands up and screams its a free country and their rights have been violated.... Well that may be true in some instances, but the vast majority of the time its the person who "violated" their rights that are having their freedoms limited by the person who is upset that their right are. Just because you have rights and its a free country does not mean that you have the right NOT to be offended. Thats what makes this country what it is supposed to be. You dont like the loud conversation someone is having in the hallway? Get the rest of the people standing to pull out their cell phones and croud around her talking so she cant hear shit. We need to police ourselves instead of letting the Govt. do it for us. That is going to lead to a Facist govt. Which it is already headed to. The problem lies in these little weenies squeeling about how they dont like this or that instead of using their rights to suggest the dumb frat guy STFU. OR better yet....ignore the guy and listen to your IPOD, which isnt even allowed or available in some countrys...not to mention they control the type of music you are allowed to listen to.

It actually makes me sick to my stomach you guys are saying we have too many freedoms. Move to North Korea.

*edit: errrrrrr.....holy old thread. sorry. were still gettin F'ed in the ass on the freedom thing, winers.

Oh Man. If you want something to rant about try this. This is what people who actually abuse freedom do. This guy should be punished severely with a required 5hrs community service/week for the next 20 years and a $10,000 fine, paid to victoms family.

Man urinates on dying woman, declaring it 'YouTube material'
From the "Annals of Modern Depravity" comes this sordid story:

Shouting, "This is YouTube material!" a 27-year-old British man urinated on a dying woman who had collapsed on the street, the BBC and local Hartepool Mail and Northern Echo tell us. He also doused her with a bucket of water and covered her with shaving cream.

The woman, 50-year-old Christine Lakinski, died at the scene of pancreatic failure.

In a sad sign of the times, it was all recorded on a mobile phone.

In court, Anthony Anderson said he had smoked a joint and been drinking with two friends when they spotted Lakinski. He faces jail after pleading guilty to "outraging public decency." Sentencing is set for Oct. 22.

"We will await the outcome and just hope he gets what he deserves," Lakinski's brother said after today's court hearing.
