RANT - Asking for dyno graphs

Can we please make it through ONE thread about a modification withouth asking for dyno numbers??? I mean, everytime someone tightens a bolt differently, there's another person asking for dyno numbers! I just read a thread about the new throttle body gaskets to help reduce heat soak and intake air temps. Someone asked for dyno numbers!!! Come on, it's a freakin' gasket! It's not going to give you 5 more horsepower! For once, realize that there are other things that measure performance that dyno numbers can't. And do you actually think that everytime someone puts a $10 part on their car, they are going to go get it dyno'ed at $50 a pop?!?!?

I got a laugh out of this post. :thumbsup:

I defer to dyno results when people make radical claims like, "My exhuast is the best and I got 25 hp gains with it." The reality is, most people who mod Civic don't care that much about pure performance to warrant a dyno day.

I agree with you in one sense, but stupid people do have to be put in check, now and again...
