Cops suck!!!

I just want to rant a bit on my 8:00am Highway Patrol experience this morning. Now, a bit of information. I'm a 31 year-old male driving a black, lowered and tinted Si on the Florida Turnpike. I'm going to work on my usual route driving about 71mph...in the middle lane. I pass a cop car who has someone pulled over and continue on, listening to some *** soft rock I had on the radio (I really think it was Cyndi Lauper)...whatever. I'm not a morning person and need some mellowness once in a while. So the cop turns of his lights and is now right behind me and turns 'em on again.

Great, now I get pulled over. He walks over to my passenger side window, I hand him the essentials, and I ask him what I did wrong. "Your window tint, your tag cover, and your tail light tint." I'm sorry but F@$k him. I'm trying to go to work here, not speeding, and he pulls me over, in S. Florida mind you, for tint. I tell him it's like 20%. He's not a dickhead cop or anything (he had to be a rookie), and I'm still being cool, hoping to be let off with a verbal warning. The cop asks me if I have any drugs, weapons, or needles in the car and I say, "No man, but if you count some turkey burgers, you better arrest me now." He then slaps the tint meter on my car and it shows 15%. Woopty fu@kin doo. I've had 5% on ALL my previous cars and decided, on this one especially, to go a bit lighter. He then disappears in his car for 20 minutes! I finally can't take it anymore and get out of the car. He then tells me to get back in the car, it'll only be a minute, and that we're waiting on something. Well, that something was a supervisor with a K-9. Thank god I quit smoking crack last week or I'd be in jail right now! The sup was nice as well, apologizing, shaking my hand,and asking me if he can walk the dog aroung the car. "Shit" I said, "You can put him IN the car if you feel the need." He didn't, said goodby, and the rook shot me a $75 tint ticket accompanied by 2 warnings. 40 minutes later I was on my merry way! What a great start to my day.

I know the feeling. I got a $45 tint ticket in Boca by FHP in my old truck on I-95 a few years back. Pulled me over in the middle of rush hour traffic for $45. What a waste of time. I think he was just bored with sitting in traffic.

Tint, IMO, attracts cops. Probably b/c they can't see you that well and think you're hiding something. Maybe he's seen the F'n'F one too many times and thinks you're "living life one quarter mile at a time."

FWIW, my 56 y/o aunt and 65 y/o uncle got pulled over in OH last weekend for having a recently expired tag on their LS430 (my aunt forgot to renew it) and the rookie-looking trooper started berating them and interrogating them as to where they were coming from, where they had been, etc. My folks were riding in the back. Trooper would've shot them summarily had they had tint or rims.

yea man i hate that!!!! everytime i leave the N.O. and go out of state i get pulled over and it never fails,they always ask me why am i here and not back "where i belong"

Cops suck around here, I've been pulled over so many times for the stupidest stuff. I'm from Texas so unless you have a f-350 and a cowboy hat on and say HOWDY OFFICER!!!! then your getting the ticket. Or atleast thats the state troopers
