Need help sending money order to Canada.

I've never sent a money order outside of the US, and I'm sending one tomorrow for my magnaflow exhaust. The company is based in Canada.

Is there anything I need (special) to send my money order from TN to Canada?
More postage? If so, how much?

Why wouldn't you just order it from a US company to save the hassle and customs delays, etc?

The company I ordered the exhaust from is in the U.S., but their parent company is Canadian Catalytic Exhaust Inc.

I ordered from hottexhaust.com

Make sure you buy polar bear damage insurance. I wouldn't expect there's anything particularly special about sending a money order across the border.. just make sure you've insured the letter for the value of the money order so if it gets lost, you're not out the value of the money order, cause they are treated like cash...

Just take the money order to the post office and tell them where you're sending it. They'll tell you how much postage is required.

But it's not a stereotype. I spent New Years in Montreal and the polar bear problem is out of control. That, and the streets were overflowing with maple syrup and hockey sticks. Come on, you know what I'm talking aboot!

To send a money order to Canada just put it in an envelope and send it to:

<Company Name>
CO: Fargone
27 Fargone's Street
Fargone's City, Ontario, Canada
F4R6O3

And I'll make sure it gets to the 'correct' place ... *cough*mybank*cough*

On a side note ... You had polar bear, maple syrup and hockey stick problems in Montreal?? We had the same problems in Toronto! Except we called in the nation guard because we couldn't handle it. So 2 soldiers using WWII equipment and a couple mounties came and saved the day! Then we drank Blue and ate moose steaks while we kept warm with beaver pelts!

To answer the original poster's question, your local post office will provide this service to you for a nominal fee of $3.45. It's a very inexpensive way to send money to Canada.

They can send it by letter mail or Global Express Mail (additional costs) and for a maximum of $700. You just purchase the pink money order from the post office and request help from them. It's not hard at all.

I was in Montreal with the polar bear problem. We just fed em poutine and kicked back a few brews. They were actually really cool once they were drunk. A little rowdy though....

Ah, how could I forget the poutine? That's some good stuff, a heart attack in every bite!
