Custom Chopper Pics

I don't know if anyone is into custom bikes, but here are some pics of one of my latest projects.

It's a 132 cubic inch (2.2 liter) Rigid Shovelhead bike that I'm building for bike week.

Sheet metal is the next thing on the list. Stay tuned for updates......

That's a seriously nice frame and I usually do not like beefy frames. I know someone asked this already, but are these your frame designs? And what's the name of your shop/location? Nice work!

Yes, those are my frame designs and I work closely with a company in Canada that makes them for me.

The name of my shop is PsychoworkS and it is here in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. I don't just specialize in V Twins, I also customize sport bikes, sports cars and trucks. Here is a pic of my CBR1000RR with last year's graphics on it. It's a blast to ride considering it is 165 hp at the rear wheel and only weighs about 400 lbs. 90 mph in first gear, and 175 mph top speed. I've had it up to 165 mph so far, and I don't think I'd want to go any faster on it.

Web site is in the works, and will be finished shortly.

As much as I appreciate the craftsmanship, vision, and manual work that goes into building a custom chopper, I really like sportbikes a lot more.

Regardless, looks like you know what you're doing with choppers! Keep it up; definitely a head-turner

Bikes are friggin nice. What type of tank are you throwin on the show bike? I like the look of the shop bike, but not feelin the small tires.

The show bike is going to have split tanks running down the side of the back bone. Long and sharp. I want to be able to see the back bone with the tanks installed. Only problem is, the motor is so tall because of the raised deck height and stroke, that there isn't much room left between the rocker boxes and the back bone. There is only 1/8" clearance between the rear rocker box and the back bone. You should have seen the look on my face when we first tried to get the motor in the frame!

The "bomber" bike (shop bike) was built entirely from parts off ebay with the exception of the frame. I wanted to see how cheap I could build a bike using "take off" parts. It's a mix between a 1978 Shovel head, 2006 night train primary, 2006 fat bob wheels (that I powder coated and re-laced), and 88 Sportster front end and gas tank. Oil tank, fenders, seat and forward controls are all custom made by me in house.

I'm using a Rock Shox spring and shock assembly under the seat to add some cushion to the rigid frame. These "skinny tire" bikes are really starting to make a comeback in the industry and are very popular right now.

So far I have about $4k invested total and the best part is: the motor came with a title! No hassles with registering it as a "special construction". Which is a real pain in the a$$.
