heres how my night went (wet paint)

now that ive cooled down a bit this is what happened. as i pulled into the parking spot in the target lot i saw something towards the edge of the spot so i made sure not to hit it, by the way it was night time so it was dark out. i know i didnt hit it but as i walked around to the back of the car i noticed that the next spot over was covered with what it looked like dirty water (soon i figured out it was paint and water)

so i looked at the object i nearly missed and sure enough it was a fresh gallon of paint that some one had already ran over, all i ran over was the big ass puddle of paint after the bucket, sorry no pics, was in to much of a panic and too pissed off. the tires treads were full with paint so i had to go in the store to buy a case of water, paper towels and a big brush,

long story short, thanks to my girlfriend most of it is off. we went through all the water and got most of the paint off. i am goin to wash my car today, but i did noticed a few spots of paint on the car, does any one know what i can use to remove this house paint off of the car paint with out doing damage.

claybar might help a little. you'll probably end up just haveing to get it buffed out by a body shop.

If its a latex base paint it should come right off with a good car wash. I would use dawn dish soap to strip the layer of wax you have on and hopefully that would assist with removal of the paint. If it's oil based (I know this sounds crazy) but gasoline removes oil based paint. Put some on a rag, wet the affected area first then apply the gasoline and try rubbing off the oil base paint. I have never done this before so check it first in a non conspicuious area first. I would think it would do the trick and not harm your car paint too bad. People get gas on there car all the time when filling up. Just make sure you really wash the car good, then I would wax it afterwards.

Another things you could try is a product made by Goof-Off. It comes in a yellow and blue can at home depot etc. It's paint remover product and is pretty much a all purpose/surface safe product. Let me know how it goes...
