Gym Class Heroes
I gotta say, I saw them a couple months ago and just saw their video a few minutes ago, and they're probably one of my favorite independent groups. Anybody listen to them or have any other independent groups they recommend?


On a side note, I was listening to that girl JoJo and her new song "Touch a Girl" is a little disturbing, considering she's only like 15.....

Never heard of Bloc Party, but I have the Snow Patrol album and some of Red Jumpsuit's stuff. I swear it's some of the best stuff of 2006.

Yeah, I got the new Cope. And I'm really, really, really digging The Fray. I'll have to look around for Bloc Party.

They aren't independant they are signed. But yes they are a great group. I saw them with Midtown and Fall Out Boy.

Independent for me means, it's not commercial. Britney Spears is commercial. Jay-Z is commercial. The Fray doesn't "feel" commercial. Even John Mayer doesn't "feel" commercial. So yes, you're correct, they're signed. But they haven't been chewed up and swallowed by their A&R's or their respective labels. They're still "independent artists".

+1 same for me. something that isnt on the raido too much.

If you like the Fray, give Keane a try. Soft music but with nice beats. First album is better than the second.
