For those that don't care to read 16 pages, I'll try to sum this up.

1. We continue the tradition of smaller regional meets. Nothing more.
2. We continue the tradition of #1, but we add a larger annual meet in a centralized location (preferably in the center of the US).
3. We continue the tradition of #1, but we add a larger annual meet that moves from year to year (one year it will be a mid-west meet, the next a southeast meet, and so on).

Anyone have any ideas, thoughts, complaints, whatever about any of the things mentioned so far? Additional thoughts and ideas?
2 or 3 sounds good. I like the fact that 3 moves it around so that it mixes up things from time to time but 2 would make driving equal for evryone. One idea to fiddle with...if this all works out, meaning a great sucess, why not have more than just one big meet ???? have like a few a year during the different seasons. just my .02$

I've been working on the second one. The third one is going to be extremely difficult for people to get to unfortunately. I've looked at all the possibilities and that's going to pretty hard to get people to come out to a different location every year, but if you folks really want to do it that way, I can do what I can to make it happen.

I'm liking either # 2 or #3. I live in Chicago so #2 would work out best for me, but #3 might be more fair to other people around the US.

I'm still favoring Ohio, I think it would be cool to meet at the Honda plant.

You know the sad thing about this is that most of us probably won't be the owners of the 8th Civic forever. We meet because we share a common passion- that's owning an 8th generation Civic. But what happens when we lose that passion, or we no longer can keep it. Sad huh?
Honestly I'd like to see the same faces each year when this one and only annual meet takes place. Let's see who will be the one to keep their fg the longest. Maybe me- I'll drag it there if I have to.

As to a location, anywhere safe for an asian dude. j/k:)

Same here. I've already made a couple calls and sent a few e-mails. We'll see what comes of it.

I'm just doing some preliminary stuff. I'd hate to throw ideas out there, get everyone excited, and then come up empty. I'm learning what I can about a trip to Columbus, Ohio to visit the Honda plant.

Even if it's not a big official monster huge meet, I'd still like to do it as a regional thing.

I've inquired about the Honda plant. I'm not sure if they'll want to do it, but I might be able to speak directly to someone at the headquarters who can help me out, through my whole car fiasco. We'll see.

I'd really like to get as many people out as possible to one central location. There are people who say they wouldn't want to do it, but if you got it organized, most of those same people will follow. I shouldn't have done the poll just yet. I should've waited.

Sounds great to me! Ohio is about as central as it gets...someone will always bitch no matter what!

About a 3 day trip for me...at about 6-8 hrs a day...f it...

Unfortunately I can't do anything until 08 due to a pending 3 week trip to Europe that is gonna kill my vacation time...Hopefully this will be an annual event
