What am I gonna do? Stay here and study?! Road Trip!

I'm liking the idea of everyone having their own smaller regional meets, but having that "Official" (if that's what we want to call it) annual meet. Seems like everyone has a few ideas of where to have it.

Again, I like the idea that the annual big huge ordeal of a meet should change locations. Anyone coming up with places to go?

And for those who are suggesting we meet to drive, here are some ideas:

I know we want this pretty central, but I'm wondering if (as other people have suggested) our first "OFFICIAL ANNUAL BIG TIME GET A LOT OF PRESS AND RECOGNITION" meet should be at the Ohio Honda plant where most of our cars are made...

Thoughts?

Edit: I think this would be a great first big meet. People from all over New England and the midwest could drive in. There may even be a few from outlying areas (sbigshot). Ohio isn't exactly central, but I think even a few East Canadians could join in.

And if we go with the idea that the next year would be in a different location, then it could be moved to someplace more western, like Vegas, Texas, Vancouver, wherever...

I would be down for that, honestly I just want one huge meet because that would be awesome, i think that would get some press.

Renamed the thread. Hopefully with "Official" in the title, we'll get a few more hits and thoughts rolling around in here. This is something for all members to be a part of. All ideas are welcome.

I'm southern, not outlying!!!

As long as there is major advance notice as far as the dates go, I see no problem with doing a single huge national meet. (are we talking 2007 or 2008??)

I'm thinking 2007 will be the first huge national official for real everyone and their moms are invited kinda meet. I suggested mid-summer (easier with school schedules, and such), but I'm up for whatever.

i would think late summer would be good... maybe even pick a long weekend that is shared by canada and america so it would be easy for both... or nop nationals

I was thinking the last weekend of July, or the first weekend of August. That way everyone's out of school and not getting ready to head back to the dorms, July 4th traveling is over and done and hopefully nobody has any anniversaries or anything around that time....

Or if everyone wants, I can organize a tour to the Nopi Nats. Only problem with that is, it's during the beginning of the school year and few, if any, people want to miss class.

If summer is the popular choice, then either of these two weeks would be good.

I'm sure we could make this an annual thing. The ToD meet's are going to be annual. The big meet should be annual as well.

I'd definately be down with that.

I plan on taking a road trip this summer anyways, I'll just tell my girlfriend we have to take a "detour".
