Why? It's all about seeing how much highway mpg we get... And putting thousands of miles on our cars...

what about the nopi nationals next year? Every region in the USA and Canada has a cruise that goes down there in september anyway right? I think its wed to mon or something like that for Canadians... two days at the show and we could have all of our cars parked together... final meeting spot is Atlanta i think

Realistically guys, i dont think a national meet is possible. not without sponsorship and in depth planning.

the drive would simply just be too long for alotta folks. But the main issue is TIME. It takes alot to drive cross country. For us corporate folks, time isnt much of a issue. Thats what floaters are for right? But you gotta realize lots of people cant just take a week or two off whenever they feel like.

I suggested elsewhere that having several regional meets on the same day, may be a better idea. AS far as i know, January 13th there is a big SOUTH meet in Louisiana. At the same time, i will be holding a meet on January 13th-14th For the WEST, located in Vegas.

If someone would like to organize something on the 13th or 14th weekend for the EAST coast, that'd be 3 simultaneous meets across the nation. We could call it a National Honda Weekend or something. I think thats as close as we could get to a national meet, and have a decent turnout.

PS- if someone would throw a Canada Meet at the same time, we could turn it from National Honda Meet Weekend to North American Honda Weekend.

My 2 cents.

If anyone's wondering about dates for the Dragon meet, it will be Sept. 6-9, or the Thursday through Sunday after Labor Day. Everyone is welcome to come whenever they can. If that's a bad date for anyone, I'm sorry but a pretty powerful person on this site asked me what the dates would be and has put in a vacation for that weekend. I want to stay on that person's good side.

Anyway, we had 15 Civics there which doesn't seem like a great number but the really cool thing was that we were from 12 different states: NC, SC, TN, GA, OH, LA, DE, PA, KY, MD, OK, NY. Everyone had a great time and it must be a pretty special place if people from all over the eastern half of the US are willing to drive there.

Psst...the person I was talking about in the first paragraph is coming all the way from Wisconsin! Also, I've even talked to someone north of the border who's interested.

anywho, I think Kakashi is onto something, several meets across the country would be more practical than one big meet, even though one big meet would be pretty freakin sweet.
