So what are we looking at? Friday, Saturday and Sunday? That seems most likely. And are you guys wanting to have stuff planned, like a barbeque, a basketball/softball game, etc? Normally, I don't do that kinda thing, but if we're going to be there, I'm trying to look at it from the perspective of my family reunions. Maybe on the last day we could do a car show for whoever's got the best or rarest wheels, or the most complete car, stuff like that? I could try to find some place where people could do group installs or something like that.

Since I enjoy planning things, I happily nominate myself for director of the Midwest regional meet. I've organized 2 out of 3 Ohio meets, so I've got experience.

You know you can PM Dawn, right? I just said PM Dawn. Set Adrift of Memory Bliss. Ha!

Anyway, I think this is a great idea, guys. Keep up the brainstorming. My thoughts on this are to have an annual "Official 8th Civic Meet." Everyone can do their regional stuff, Tail of the Dragon, So. Cal., KY K20, etc. But, each year in the summer we could have the "OFFICIAL" meet. And it would change every year. For instance, this year it could be in central N.A. (Kansas, Nebraska, somewhere around there). Next year it could be in Cali or Washington. The year after that, Pennsylvania, and so on. That way, if you can't make it to the "OFFICIAL" meet this year, you can do it next year, or the year after that.

I'm just thinking as I type, so it may not be coherent. But yeah, keep brainstorming.

The middle of the US (the last time I checked) would include states like: Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri. Still a good trek for those on the far east and west coasts. Regional meets make more sence ... not everyone is willing or able to drive hundreds of miles. (< this doesn't include me though - I'm likely to go anywhere)

so is this going anywhere, ive browsed quickly and i think the the regional meets should be first to see what the turn out would be. the regionals would also be a 2 or 3 day thing with shit to do like take pics, bbq, games all that kinda crap. then depending on how the regionals went, go with one national.

you tell me

I would tend to think that regional meets will be more manageable, and will have better attendance. My $.02

call me crazy, but what about an east meet and a west meet on the same date.

then come back on here and have a photo/turnout competition!

I think that would be a great idea.

my $.02

well that would be good but we are wanting everyone to be at one place...Maybe the coasts can meet up and then drive to one point..(in the central states)

You could do it in the summer and pick some places along the way, like the Super Street Tour. Just make it a long weekend, like 3 or 4 days, that way everyone has a chance to drive, hang out, rest and then drive back.

Another alternative would be for the entire East Coast to do a meet, similar to the Dragon, the entire Midwest to do a meet and the entire West Coast to do a meet. And then we all caravan to a central location. I'd love to meet a lot of you guys and gals elsewhere in the country.
As far as other makes and models, I don't see why not. This is for the community. Not about the vehicle.
