I think someone created a North American meet thread. We wanted to perhaps create a meet some where in the east coast with the Canadians and Americans. It'd be cool to create a 1-2 meet. I'm sure no one would want to travel 12 or so hours to meet for a few hours and go home.

Hey once the summer time comes, my house is open for a big meet/pool party/cookout. I will get a thread started once it gets warmer....just a heads up.

The middle of the country is too flat. How about the the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap, NC where we can all drive our cars on the best curvy roads in America? As an added bonus, the local authorities don't seem to mind as long as you're not getting too crazy.
Wait! The Second Annual 8thCivic.com Conquers the Dragon Meet will be next September! |

Even though I agree the middle of the country is too flat, it would still be a perfect place for most people to travel to. Here's what I'm thinking...Let's do something and make a weekend out of it. We could meet up on Friday night, go out, stay at the hotel, whatever. Saturday during the day, big meet and cookout, lots of photo whoring. Saturday night, go out and see the town. Drive home Sunday. I realize this isn't the cheapest thing to do, but you've got almost a year to save up for it and arrange to have that weekend off from work.
Just remember, no matter where we would have it, it's going to be too far for someone. We could take suggestions and then vote and whittle it down to the best place. I myself am thinking of Kansas City or St. Louis. Missouri seems to be pretty situated in the middle of the U.S. without getting into boring places like Wichita, KS or Lincoln, NB. (please, no bashing from you Wichita and Lincoln people ) And I am by no means close to Kansas City. 10 hour drive for me, but I'm willing to do it for the sake of the largest 8th gen Civic meet in our short history. |

The Tail of the Dragon meet will likely be pretty big. It was one of the site's first big meets and it was very well received (It is a phenomenal road, some say the premier sports car and sport bike road in the Eastern U.S.) There is a meet there this upcoming September as Cookstar mentioned.

I would be down for mid america somewhere, that really would be the only logical solution. Obviously no matter where we have it someone would have to drive a hella distance. Having it at the tail of the dragon would be alright, looking forward to the second annual dragon meet of course, but if we have it there that would be too far to the east, then no one from the west cost would want to come. I just don't know how realistic something like this would be.
