I thought long and hard about joining the AF to become a Pararescueman, aka, a PJ. That's the guys they drop in behind enemy lines for Combat Search and Rescue missions. They cross train with other SpecOps units, are all paramedic trained, and would be the exact ones I'd want coming for me if I were hurt or under fire.

Decided to stay in the civvie world though...still think about it from time to time.

None. None of the services will have me, since my eyesight is so bad. Wanted to join up before high school was over, and passed exams with scores high enough to have them calling me often *shrug*. Then all those hoped ended when the DODMERB letter came telling me otherwise.

If there had been a chance, I would probably prefer the USAF, since that would be following in the footsteps of my dad.

But hey that price tag is why the U.S.A.F. is cutting so many people, some 40,000. But I don't see why they need to replace the f-15 it is undefeted. The nly one that ever crashed was b/c it was some other countries, and the pilot was an idiot. Who are we fitting in the air anyway? Sorry to go off on such a tangent.

If I had my choice I would have signed on the dotted line back in basic training for TacP. They do some fun stuff.

You probably have to be able to spell "plane" as well.

Having been an 8404 (Fleet Marine Force Corpsman) I can tell you that most Marines that want to kill kill kill, wish the could join the SEALS.
