The Window Washer Technique

I was curious to see the number of people who use what I call the "Window Washer Technique for the Removal of Tailgaters". I do this quite often, and have seen it done by others occasionally. Here is how it goes:

1. Obnoxious SUV is riding your arse. Preferabbly on the highway for maximum wind velocity.
2. You hit the washer, sending a nice stream of water onto their window/hood area. They must wash there window...and usually get the point that they need to back off. Repeat if necessary.
3.Smile.

The civic seems to have the perfect windsheild rake to execute this move, in my experience. The look on their face as they back off and wash their window is pretty awesome. Anyone else do this also?

for work i drive a ford E 350 work van, and i mostly get the high end cars bmw or benzes on my ass cuz they rich or something and time is money, just how i drive my si is how i drive the van, even over the speed limit they still get on the bumper, and the nozzles on the van have no mercy, they shoot out like a hose, the look on there face.......CLASSIC!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I've done this on rare occasion. I don't make a habit out of it though... Only if the person is tailing me in the right lane when there is plenty other place to go (I'll usually switch to an open lane and slow down considerably - safely - to force them by me) .... I'm generally one for good road Karma if can't help it.... but there are people that are particularly persistant though.

I'm usually driving an extra few clicks faster than most of the traffic on the road so I'm the one passing people, but I take care not to tailgate.... I also find if the person that's tailgating me is driving an 8th gen civic, kicking some rocks up will undoubtedly cause them great heartache for tailgating me the next time they wash their car and see the plethora of stone chips in their paint.

i usually do not allow tailgating of my si... as i am usually just a hair faster than the 'flow'. SUVs get road rocks, if very persistant. The washer technique does work but i like to keep my rain-x enabled fluid for me...

my work truck has nossels on the wiper blades... and it throws fluid everywhere... the car on the right get blasted. I get blasted, it's all fun.

i have terrible experiences in PA being originally from NY where traffic actually moves. majority of PA drivers need their licenses revoked from pure lack of intelligence and common sense when it comes to controlling a vehicle and moving with traffic

Used to do this with my Turbo Sprint. But I don't think I will try this with my SI. Don't want to tick anyone off, being I have the only HRP where I live. Well there might be some HRP, but have not seen any.

This is my story and I'm sticking to it.

You should take a drive in the Sheepshead Bay/Brighton Beach area. People form their own lanes, and sometimes drive in to oncoming traffic!
It's one of the reasons why insurance there is the highest in New York state.

I have had this done to me while riding my CBR, not because I was to close, just someone being an A%^ Hole (probably because I do it to people in my car). Unfortunatly my helmet doesn't have wipers.
