Perhaps the bright orange jacket was not an effective 'DONT SHOOT ME' device?

Good thing it was bird shot, Darth Cheyne, or this could have been much more interesting.

Did you notice that it was Cheyney's medical staff that first helped the guy. So in other words since the Vice President's heart condition is such that he could kick-off at anytime the dude got excellent and immediate medical attention.

Also come to think of it Cheyney has doctors following him around all the time just in case....hmmm...I WISH I HAD THAT KIND OF HEALTH COVERAGE.

Now the dude that got shot was fairly old. So I wonder if the democrats will now start telling the AARP crowd that is how Bush and Cheyney plan to keep medicare expenses under control.

The guy he shot had a minor heart attack because there is some bird pellet lodged in around or in his heart (can't remember what it was).

Cheney FTW!

Heh, this is why he needs to the Vader life support suit to fully complete the transition to Darth Cheyney.

Yep, the pellets in bird shot are small enough that they can be carried in the blood stream. When said pellet reaches the blood vessels that supply the heart it works just like a cholestorol clog and you get heart attack.

I just read that Cheney is getting off free. I know if I accidentally shot someone like that I'd be in jail, probably go to court and then be fined or have jail time. I mean how can you accidentally shoot someone who is wearing super NEON orange.

The guy deserved it, I heard he was acting like a smartass. If it would have been me he would have been more than "peppered."

Cheney is a ninja, and ninja don't go around talking about kicking someone's ass before they do it.

Dude they got to you. The story was reported the next morning to the local newspaper. The whole "he didn't tell us" thing was made up by the press core at the WhiteHouse because they were pissed that some little newpaper in East Bumf*ck Texas got the story before they did. Personally if I were president I would do that on a regular basis. Say the day they captured Sadam, if I were president I would pick a random town that was just big enough to have a newspaper, and I would make some reporter at said paper so happy he would pee himself.

I don't feel like looking it up now, but I heard it happened Sat. and they avoided papers for Sunday - and released it Monday?

I saw the lady that reported it on TV. She stated that she contacted the paper first thing Sunday morning. So you are probably right, because the paper probably goes to printing long before we wake up in the morning.
