To add or not to add

If you were going to sell your Civic anyways, say in a couple of (years 2-3). Would you still add some "mods". Specifically:

Window tint
OEM Front lip (possibly the entire kit if i have money)
Fogs
and intake

Just wondering if it is worth it to make it look nice for a while just to sell it.

If you're really going to be selling your car in a few years, there's better ways to spend your money. Don't waste it on your car.

mods

I would tint but nothing more. The intake and kit will get you nothing. The tint probably won't get you anything either but the added comfort. My 2 cents.

If you have the money, why not?

Enjoy the car while you do have it...and if worse came to worse, you could always pull the mods off and sell them(well, not the tint) for probably a decent chunk of what you paid for them.

The tint is a must, and beyond that enjoy your car if you have the money within reason.

Yea well the sell is probably not for sure, but thats what im aiming for. I guess i can alway pull the parts off and sell them separtely, do tinit decrease, increase or do nothing to value? The money thing i estimate around 700 for front lip, fog, and tint, which is just sitting in interest account getting 4 bucks a month, which i never see n e wayz, and i think i would be more happy with the adds cuz i see it everyday.

Aight mind is set, thanks for input.

I would get the OEM foglights (it's on the KBB car value finder page) the tint (cuts back on sun bleaching as one of it's many good uses)

Please don't put the front lip on your car without the rest of the kit. IMO that looks unfinished. Either all or nothing. Intake, eh. It wouldn't hurt but it doesn't increase the value either. just the fun effect.

anything oem will add value to the car. for example, keep your stock intake and put it back on when u sell the car, then sell the intake u purchased.

Yes, I have.

I don't care about the fiscal responsibility of keeping your car stock and OEM and blah blah garbage. If I'm to drive and have to wake up to see my car every morning, I want it to be however I want it to be for the duration- whether that's 6 months or 3 years or 10 years.

I modified my last Civic with the Honda lip kit, tint, foglights, intake, springs, and HFP wheels. And while I didn't get a financial "return" on my investment, I was fully content with the car the whole time that I owned it.

Like Tim said.......you gotta enjoy your car whether you keep it short term or long term.

Im in the same dilemma with regards to buying parts for my car, but Im just buying them. I know Im going to take a hit when it comes to selling the parts when and if I decide to get rid of the car, but oh well.

My $0.02
