Do Original Movies Exist anymore???

Sorry for more griping. Could be because I am so tired that I feel dizzy. Or it could be because I don't eat enough fiber...
When is Hollywood going to create ORIGINAL movies?
Seems like all the movies that come out in the past year or coming are either..
1) Sequals
2) Remakes of Older Movies
3) TV Show converstions

Lets take a look....
1) Dr. Doolittle 3, MI-3, Underworld 2, Transporter 2, Big Mamas House 2, Final Destination 3, Scary Movie 4, Basic Instinct 2, Ice Age 2, Saw 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, X-men 3

2) The Pink Panther, War of the Worlds, When a Stranger Calls, King Kong, The Hills Have Eyes, Poseidon Adventure, Superman, Charlotte's Web, The Shaggy Dog, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

3) Dukes of Hazzard, Miami Vice, Magnum PI, Starsky and Hutch

I was going to say those but I wasn't totally sure if they were being produced.

They need to make NINJA GAIDEN. HALO could be good.

I think the HITMAN project is doomed... they tapped Vin Diesel to play Agent 47 - a terrible casting decision, just dreadful. Jason Statham would have made a good 47.... Christain Bale could have been good too.

Yeah Jason would have been the best. But it would remind everyone of Transporter too much.
I heard they are doing a HALO.

Transporter 2 was HORRIBLE!!! Just terrible. The action was more unbelievable than the Matrix.

thank you. I didn't care for it much myself either, but I heard people saying how great it was. I felt like I wasn't watching the same movie they were watching.

Well of course the action is unbelieveable, but is it a good movie? The action and plot in the first one were also unbelieveable, but it was a decent-enough flick.

Transporter 2 was not as good as the original. The plot was weak, the stunts unrealistic (just way too unrealistic), and the action sequences tired.

A damn hawt A8 though....

Yes they are doing a Halo and Peter Jackson (of LOTR and King Kong fame) is the Executive Producer.

This movie is a good bet to be decent.... they may also have the game ready around the same time and it would just be a media frenzy. Almost like a Star Wars frenzy.

The screenplay writer is Alex Garland, who wrote one of my favorite books - The Tesseract, has written Halo. Garland also created the concept and wrote the screenplay for "28 Days Later." He wrote the novel "The Beach" but didn't write the screenplay. To me, this gives the Halo project credibility as a serious movie-making attempt.

Transporter 2 was horrible. No, not worth seeing. The original was much better.

I agree with Milkman. Because of the writer, director, producer, and the money backing of Microsoft it should be a good flick. I hope that they stay as close to the story as they can. It would be nice to see how the Spartan Project came to fuition, they allude to it in the game, bits and pieces but I would like something like well (this is how it started) and go from there.

I love Halo, so I dont want it to be butchered in the same manner that Mortal Combat, Doom, Resident Evil (love that game also) were. It's gotta stop.

BTW Guillermo Del Toro is directing. He did Hellboy and Blade II. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out... dark, long, and violent.

Pretty lame car chases, even though they are awesome cars. It was so unreal and could never happen. The Transporter was better IMO.
