Jay-Z's Kingdom Come
D/l it a few minutes ago. So far, I'm just not that impressed. I truly don't understand how people feel his music that much. He may be able to put some songs together, but there's no way I'd ever buy an album of his. They aren't worth $10 to me. He should've stayed retired. The greatest rapper alive... [Roll Eyes]
Best song is with a beat by Swizz Beatz. I remember 5 years ago when he was big, and kind of died out with Ruff Ryders/DMX. Seems within the past year he's blowing up again and nearly every song he produces has great instrumentals. I realize it's been discussed, but as a side note since it's relevant to my topic, Game's new album is garbage. He definately went for the West Coast early 90's genre but it's just not fitting. I was truly looking forward to that album. He has maybe one or two good looks on the album, and that's it, tops. What's with rap's hyped albums lately? Hopefully Jeezy's album will produce. Think I'll just stick to 80's music and the doobie brothers until someone can make something worth listening to. |
