I have a Temper-Pedic knock off that cost a few hundred dollars for a knock off bed pad, and I will say that it makes me sleep much, much better.
If the knock off is that good, the real one is even better. I've heard nothing but good, but the price is high.

man i got one and that sh*t is off the hook. I had to get one cuz my lady was unable to sleep with me in the bed.. I hella move and shit (prolly dreaming of my Si) but when we got that it was sweet.. she sleeps through the night with no problems.. I have a good dealer that is only 10 min away from my house so I was able to fandangle that mark down to like 1850 for our bed. It was supposed to be 2650!

The reason they say on their commercial that it'll stop you from tossing and turning (like on a traditional metal spring mattress!) is because the foam will litterally mold to your body and you just won't be able to move at all. I don't know, you might find that comfortable, to each their own.
Designed to absorb G forces during space shuttle liftoffs, but that doesn't mean it'd be a good bed. I mean, fighter pilots sometimes wear g suits that (when g forces engaged them) inflate, putting massive pressure on the body shoving enough blood back to the brain so they don't blackout. Does't mean a g-suit would be comfy as pajamas or make a good pool toy, heh. |

I have a mattress that cost me $1400 7 years ago. It is a Supplepedic, basically the same thing as Temper Pedic. In fact I bought it at a Relax The Back store and it was right next to the Temper Pedic. I found the Supple Pedic to not be as stiff as the Temper Pedic. My Mother-in-Law has a Temper Pedic and when we stay in Vegas at her house we sleep on it. After two nights I find myself wanting my bed back. My advice would be to make sure you get the model with the density that suits you best.
But I do love the memory foam material. |
