Crazy Calculator trick

The author of this should be running this country....friggin genius

1. Grab a calculator (you wont be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT YOUR AREA CODE)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last four digits of your phone number
7. Add the last four digits of your phone number again
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Sound familiar?

It's not so crazy.

Let A = the first three digits
Let B = the last four digits

The instructions breaks down into this simple formula:

10,000 X A + B

And thus it works for every single 7 digit telephone number.

Why would you actually take the time to figure this out?

Just take a look at the instructions it gives you. Not hard to simplify that down.
