carfax anyone?

I'm kinda having doubts about my used SI... i took the car in due to manufacturer's defect in front bumper paint and they're trying to tell me the car has been repainted. and parts of the VIN is rubbed off for some reason.

can someone run a carfax report for me?

thanks

PM for VIN

yea, buying a used Si is risky, hope it comes out clean, but most damage is not reported......good luck !

if you knew all the ins and outs of carfax, you would realize CARFAX doesnt tell you the most important things you need to know.

For roughly $20 or so I may be able to find out whether the $20k used car that I am buying has any sort of collision/flood history. Carfax doesnt tell you everything but why not take that chance for $20?? Its called common sense.

if you had any automotive know how, a quick look over could tell you that.

I've seen his car in person, didn't look like it had been painted or had any damage.... the dealer in his area is prob. just giving him a hard time over the warranty work because he didn't buy it there - one call to Honda's corp. office would clear that crap up quick. If the car is still under warranty, it is covered at any dealership (doesn't matter if you bought it there or if it was purchased used). :)

If its not been repainted then why is the vin rubbed off? Why didnt the previous owner take this issue up with his dealership since its so obvious that its a factory defect?
