Blocked at work

So last night I ended up having to stay late at work. Which really sucked cause I had to come in early also. Well anyways I am waiting for this last truck to come in so I can leave. So I decided to kill some time on here. Now, in the past I've never had a problem getting on the Internet at work. Some pages are blocked, like myspace etc... Well I trying and go to 8thcivic and I get a message that says " Access Denied User Limit Reached" It cut off over outside website. Any IT guys here know if there's a way around it. I need 8thcivic at work its the only way I can stay sane. I even rearranged my office so no one could see my monitor if they walked by. Any advice

Oh and I guess I'll have to check this after I get home. C-ya

actually, you install it on your computer at home, and you end up browsing all sites via your pc at home.

you end up going to something like this

http://X.X.X.X/circumventor/http/www.8thcivic.com

Here's an example of someone that's set this up as a public proxy. (this is probably already widely blocked, buy your home computer's address is most likely not blocked)

I did a few extra things to keep my browsing experience secure and private.

I implemented password authentication in addition to the default encryption. Instructions were included with the circumventor files. I also set up an account with dyndns.com, which will automatically update a URL with my current IP from my home connection. If you have a router/firewall, you will also need to set port forwarding for https (tcp port 443) to your natted (read internal) IP address. Not to mention opening the appropriate ports on your windows firewall (XP SP2) or doing the same with any 3rd party personal firewall you have installed.

Goddamn, I'm seriously a geek.

PM me if you have any questions!
