Death by hanging no less... I didn't even think that was something that could be done anymore.

It's supposed to be carried out within 30 days. So wonder when they'll actually do it. And $50 says he kills himself or has one of his men kill him before he lets anyone hang him

I think the Iraq situation would be better off with that idiot still in power.

What a mess this Iraq situation is. Bush has doubled our national debt since he entered the white house. It's now at 6 trillion. We spend billions per day in Iraq when we have our own problems within our own borders to fix.

Think about it this way. By our invading Iraq, we've caused more damage and death than Saddam the entire time he was in power.

I'm getting a kick out of how now Ole' Saddam is telling them not to be violent and not to fight with americans. That's all of his ploy to be a martyr. Such a diva. He and Kim Jong Il will be having orgies in hell with Satan, Hitler and Milosevich someday. :)

Bah, that was only his lawyer spewing that stuff.

Going out with hanging eh? I guess they need to reserve all the resources they can. With as expensive as this war is I was hoping we could be more creative, but I'm sure Bush is pleased...

Too bad this doesn't mean anything good for our troops, but the guy had to go.

This is rather great timing for midterm elections, anyone else kind of think that?

I don't agree with what George Bush did. I never will. I think he should be impeached for his absolutely disgusting handling of Iraq (even if invading was okay, which I still dont know about), but as others have said, it's great we're liberating such a destroyed country (Which is even MORE destroyed and divided now that we're there), while people are losing their jobs daily here, sleeping on street corners, starving, and having to buy prescriptions from Canada. We have so many problems in our country, and even on TOP of the money we're losing (yes, losing) in Iraq, Bush is STILL parading on top of *** marriage and his churchy moral bullshit, when there's far more important things going on.

He'll probably be dead before his hanging, and if he isn't, as others have said, there's going to be lovely backlashes against the US. But did anyone really NOT see a guilty verdict in the cards?

Saddam is a terrible person, there's no doubt about that. I do not object to his sentencing, but to some Iraqis, it may seem the same way it would seem if someone went in, abducted Bush (for essentially killing American's in Iraq for an unseen evil that may never be destroyed), and sentenced him...

Saddam deserves to die, but, who are we to sentence people to death?

Being a libertarian and a believer in isolationism, we should really stay in our country and worry about our own problems, thus lowering the level of global conflict. Our relationships with other countries should be strictly positive, consisting of cultural, economical, and humanitarian connections. Why should we go off invading other countries when our own country has so many problems? Stupid government controls way too much. That's my .02.

I say throw him in a wood chipper. I think similar devices were used on Iraqis during his reign of terror.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
