sad news :( totalled the '07 vic :( long read

On thursday night, this guy in a green jeep TJ smashed his car into mine on purpose and caused my car to be totalled..oh and did I mention he ran ?

Since you're wondering, I was in the middle lane with him about a car and a half in front of me, and he had been driving erradically ( i should've known )... anyways so im like **** that i switch to the right lane and i downshift to third(going about 58 km/h) and i boot it. I got to 64 km/h when i see him slam on the brakes and sharply turn into the right lane.

The impact causes my car to jump up on the sidewalk and he's still going to the right so basically my car is on 3 wheels for 2 seconds and then he lets go and boots it and runs away.. so my car is veering to the right and i hit and jump over a median and the car keeps going jumps over another sidewalk,into a parking lot and chance has it that there was a snow plow ( the plow not the truck) just laying there...

Everything sorta clicked in right there so i jerked the steering wheel to the left ..i did hit the plow but thankfully, i managed to hit the back part of the door and then its scrapped the rest of that side ( oh and did i mention that i had one of my closest friends in the passenger side...the curtain airbags popped out thank god..i think it saved her from great injured) anwyays so we hit the plow thing and i get worried for her so i let go of the steering wheel and grab her and hold her still cuz i dont want her to get whiplash.so the car finally stops...

and i see my friend crying and telling me her arm hurts i thought her arm was broken i started freaking out decided against that ..composed myself .. i tried opening my door and it wouldnt work and she tried opening her door and it didnt work either... so i jumped out of the car as fast as i could through the window and i went over to her side..managed to get the airbag out of the way and mustered the strength to just smoothly lift her out and through the window and carried her off to a safe distance..

my car was leakin and i wasnt sure what it was... anwyays so .. i call the cops and ppl start gathering ...i start talking to them and everyone is like what the **** happened ?is that guy drunk ? it really seemed like something out of a movie.. so the cops,ambulance & firefighters get there.. they check on my friend and again through the grace of god her arm isnt broken and she was just bruised up a bit ... the cops get there and whatever the usual interrogation ,witnesses were on my side and turns out they caught the guy , but they wont tell me who he is ..

i finally glance over at my car and realize the extent of the damage... it sorta seemed like i had fat tires cuz the body on the sides was like smashed in and the tires were sticking ...without a doubt the side were scrapped! the front right suspension was messed up so that the tires was flat and the boddy was slanted .. my front bumper was just laying there connected to the car touching the floor.. the headlights were broken... basically the body was messed up .. the only thing that wasnt really messed up was the back right brake light. the windshields were intact and i think the windows dropped by themselves? or maybe i did it .. i cant really remember...

oh wait did i say that i got the car a month ago and i had just broken the car in 600 kms ago. (i got out without a scratch thank the lord but my air bags didnt go off? odd..) ... and I'll have pics up soon... do u feel my pain ?

that's two of us.. after they caught him he told the cops that i was trying to race with him ? (Tj vs Civic ?????do u smoke ****** crack?????) even i i was ..which i wasnt for the simple fact that i had a lady in the car and i would never put a lady in any situation where a life could be jeopardized.

I can't believe he told the cops "I thought he was racing me" as if that somehow justified running you and your friend off the road. Who the hell gave that dumbass a driver's license, jesus.

If the cops in your town have any sense they'll get him for all kinds of charges, hit and run, assault with a deadly weapon, road rage, etc.

give it a month or so then go to the police station and ask for police report on what happend it should say all his info and yours and whos at fault what happend stuff like that. it might cost a few bucks though

yeah.. but for some reason the dealearship is asking me to put a deposit on the car again ? and pay for this and that .. im not sure what to do..

i have absolutely no idea what to do... this hhas never happened to me before (first accident) and ive never heard of someone trying to run someone off the road ..advice is greatly appreciated

don't bother with the dealer just yet. if they're concerned about you as a person, then they'll give you some space. if they're concerned about you as a customer, then they'll try to sell you another car.

i'd say go to another dealer.

but the priority now is to deal with your accident (i don't think that's the correct term), and the health of you and your best friend.

"I thought he was racing me" is the lamest get out of trouble line I've ever heard. That a$$hole needs to be drawn and quartered and tortured with paper cuts, lemon and salt.
