Need Some Advice
Kind of need some help 8th. Things have been good for a while been doing good in school and everything, things just started to finally work for me. Until this recently, I didn't do as good as I wanted. It's not that the work was too hard or anything but I just can't seem to focus on anything and I am losing motivation to do anything...Even cars I mean I still love my car, but I am no where near as into it as I was before. Cars seem to make me miserable because I am pissed at myself that I'm not into it like before lol. Same thing with MMA, I don't have that drive anymore...and this is with everything. I'm steadily losing weight and sleeping A LOT, even when not tired. So I realize how important school is and everything and do want to do well again...So I was thinking of going to the doctor and trying to get on some type of meds. I hear certain kind can make me concentrate, not freak out, and possibly relax? Adoral? What do you guys think? Also any meds you would recomend? And any side effects?
Thanks. |

The only bad thing i heard about adderall was that once you get distracted, you lose concentration on your studies, and start concentrating on your distractions lol. try to go all natural though cuz buying prescription meds through drug dealers is a felony -_-

I'm going to go there......we all get upset sometimes......it is a rut you just have to overcome.
I'm not a fan of mental meds (unless the person is batshit crazy.....then by all means do anything!) because I feel like they can allow you to avoid problems instead of just face them. |

Go get a **** job somewhere. A job where you work your ass off, on your feet for 12 hours at a time. Make sure you force yourself to work it for at least 6 months.
You will make $9/hour, and see others there who have been working there for years. They have nothing better to look forward to, and as a result, look like zombie robots. Unless you take advantage of your apportunities now, and do whatever you can to make the most of your future, then this will be your only choice. Keep thinking of this everytime you feel unmotivated.

I know a doctor can prescribe adderal, but as a second year college student, don't take it unless it's absolutely necessary.
I have friends that took adderrall just to study for finals and went to taking it every time they had an exam to every time they had to do any homework. Basically, it is very addicting drug and it may end up ruining your life. I felt a bit depressed after finals (esp. after knowing I may fail a class, which I still don't know if I passed), but I put my mind on other things. Do you play video games? If so, go and get a new game. Go hang out with family and friends more. GL |

Trust me, don't get on meds unless it is prescribed by a physician and you fully understand all of the side effects including dependency. I have dealt with depression for several years. I have taken many scripts that have helped in the short term. However, your body tends to build up a tolerance to these drugs and needs more of them over time to produce the same effect. The scripts that are addictive are very hard to give up and can have serious side effects. Research your family history for depression. Seek advice from a doctor. Keep your friends and family informed about your condition.
I would assume that you are young. The last thing you want to deal with in your life is an addiction problem. I have seen it ruin many lives. Depression is serious, but can be treated without medication. I wish for you the very best. Keep us updated on your progress. Remember, you are not alone! |

I'd say that when I'm in those situations, switching to a healthy diet and finding a good workout program helps A LOT. You need to force yourself to eat, especially in the morning. Do some good cardio at least 3 times a week and go to bed early and wake up early. Don't sleep in, and don't take naps.
But if you are feeling really depressed (thinking of suicide), you NEED to go see a Doctor. Sometimes these things are just biological and you may need to get medication or other help. |
