I feel like VW owners look down on us.

Everytime I meet someone who tunes up and mods their jetta/passat/golf etc. etc. they always either laugh at me or call me a "***" for driving a civic. What's up with that hate? I don't talk trash about their cars and they're always like Ew Civics are a POS whenever I talk to them about honda tuning. Is anyone else experiencing this hate?

why wouldnt VW drivers?

just look at their damn commercials..

smashing what obviously looks like a Civic in one, and then a Neon in another.

VW is pretentious to say the least.

ps- i find those commercials alot like AllTell Mycircle cell phone commercials.
Its slanderous, and cheap. Not to mention extremely unethical.

Wow, I have not experienced any of that, but if someone tricked out a Jetta, I would point and laugh since they are for women. And VW's in general are known for breaking down.

Because, immature people do immature things. That's just the way things are. Some pretty damn immature people own Civics too, and do the same things to other cars as well. :)

Just ignore them.

You should see some of the Volvo owners get digged. I used to be one!

Those same people tend to forget that most Volvo's are turbocharged.

I have a handful of friends who got seduced by the VW ads, bought a Jetta or Passat or whatever. Two, three years later, they're bitching moaning about maintenance and repair costs. A lot of mechanics won't touch a German car, VW owners are the mercy of their Dealerships, or the limited number of mechanics and car shops who will service their cars, relative to the number who affordably and conveniently service our cars. VW parts are more expensive. My friends are having second thoughts about their decision to purchase a VW.

You have no life hondadriver. Saying a Porsche is a glorified VW is like saying a Ferrari is a glorified Fiat. Hit and a miss my friend.

With all due respect, as a *** man, I know that one of the number one "gayest" cars in America is the VW Jetta, so before they go calling people "fags" for driving a Civic, they should probably do some research to see who has the REAL *** car.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Shishpanik, If you'd like me to make a video of what it was like driving my Dad's '99 Passat around for the last 2 days, I will. It'll either be listed under horror or black comedy.
