8th civic saved me!!!

So last night i was cruisin 8thcivic around 245am. My drug addic roomate left town some time yesterday, so i was to only one home.(i wish hed stay out of town forever, but thats another story) as i was scrolling through 8thcivic i heard a large crash at my front door. I knew something bad was up, so i grabbed my pistol, handcuffs, and flashlight and slowly snuck out into the living room, where i could hear someone opening drawers and closing them. I raised my pistol up around the corner, and there was this guy standing there trying to snatch my TV. I yelled to him to freeze and put his hands in the air and informed him that there was a gun pointed at him. i got him on the ground will the comands i was tought in the police academy. got his hands behind his back and cuffed him up tight. i searched him and found a Rambo like survival knife. The police arrived only a couple minutes after, as i had called them the second i hear the smash in the first place. The police and I questioned him about the insident and he stated that he knew my roomate and thought he was out of town and he had no idea that my roomate wasnt the only one living there. I now have a manged front door. he used a crowbar to shove in betweent the door and the jam to pry the door plunger out of the catch, allowing the door to swing open. luckily he left the crowbar outside.

after the police left i went inside and completely crashed. the adrenalin let down was huge. i hope i never have to go thru this again!

Sounds like it is time for AN EX ROOMATE.

Good job on the collar otherwise.

Yeah, that would certainly sink it for me. Putting you in danger is one thing. Your roomate's illicit activities putting someone you care about in danger is a whole different thing altogether. That is not forgivable in my book.

absolutly. i told her to go into my bathroom and lock the door and not to open it for anyone but me. i then locked the door to my room as i snuck down the hall.(the master bathroom is in the master bedroom). then after the police got there i went and got her and just gave her a huuuuge hug. she was so scared she was shaking. needless to say we just layed in bed the rest of the night and held each other and sighed a huge releaf.

she doesnt mind me being in law enforcement, but she doesnt wanna know what happens. but i couldnt hide this one from her

no he froze, i was blocking off his exit. and most people arnt to fancy of having a gun pointed at them.

with all the training i have in now better than to just shoot someone. Basically, you dont shoot until your life your someone elses life is in imediate danger. i.e. he points a gun at you or charges you with a knife or something

if he tried to run he wouldnt have made it far.

ALSO... just to clearify, by cruising 8thcivic i mean i was on my computer on this forum (8thcivic.com) it was a good thing to because im a heavy sleeper and so is Alli(my gf) and we prolly would have slept threw the whole thing. the guy could have made his way to my room and caught me off guard, and that would have been very bad.

Damn. Frightening story! I'm glad to hear you had some official training and knew what you were doing. You, your girl, and your car are all okay, so now you just need to get rid of that roomie!

nice one dude...when i was younger in like 6th grade...some punks tried to break into my house over the summer...i had to hold up a butcher knife and chased them away before they could get into the house...called the cops but they got away..

just out of curiousity...since you're in the police academy, why are you living with a druggie..
