who remebers that thread about my manager not giving me my raise? well tomarow i'm ending it all this is my idea, and hopefully it works:
get the manager in there who iv been talking about my raise with and be like:
me-So hows my riase coming along?
him-oh well iv been checking on it and so far nothing
me- Yea?
him-yea...
me-well, don't worry about it.
him-why?
me- cause i quit.

oh? But what happens if he says he gave it to you?
"meh, I quit"

:)

I atleast gotta see saw 3 befor i do it.

naw, its not going to be a habbit..they have taken me by my ass and used me alot..so ima just flat out and say it. c'mon a place that dosnt give you a raise when you shuld have gotten it..and CUTS your hours?

Can't..i'll be balancing 2 jobs..and i work at the movie theater on weekends, and the new staples store i work at openes next saturday..so i can't be at both places.

Ya well if a future job your applying for calls the job you just quit for a quick reference on you they arent going to say anything to nice about you ... Just go the right way and put in your 2 weeks ..

it is america, if you wanna quit, quit. I mean seriously it is a movie theater. Quiting that job at the age of 17 is not going to ruin your life. It sounds like you are being treated like crap, and you don't have to take it, or worry about what other people think.

If you apply for a job in the future and they call the theater and the theater gives them a bad refrence regarding you, you could sue the movie theater for doing that.

my bad i didn't even pay attention to ur age. quitting w/o notice more than likely wont hurt u in the future. but y bring urself down to their level and quit on them just b/c they treated u bad.

see that's one of the problems with this country nobody wants to do something b/c it's right. they just want to do something that makes themself feel good.

I have another job..at the movie theater i was being payd $6.50...and at the new staples i'm making $8.00+.45 + a shit load of bonus checks..So staples is the best deal. I have another reffrence i can use, and that place loves me (its only a summer job) its a summer camp and iv been there for almost 14-15 years..and worked there.

I'm pretty sure places you list as a reference aren't supposed to say you did a good or bad job, but if they say good things it's never bad.

They are supposed to confirm that you worked there, and that's about it. I think...

ALL managers look up and be like woha..so haha 2 of them tryed to get me to stay i was like nope..and i walked out talked to 2 firends there and there like "yea 5 people got fired today" so looks like there under staff..Well im happy i don't work there anymore.
