Whitecastle question

Ok so I live in California and we have no Whitecastle out here. What I want to know is, if I were to buy a Whitecastle franchise and open it up in California, do you think I would be successful?

You would succeed. The rarity combined with the fact that everyone has heard of it and wants to try it.

Probably true. Look at the success of Krispy Kreme in California. It's actually doing pretty good. They're not the best donuts around, but you can't deny their popularity.

Yes, there burgers taste like crap and its not that great of a place, but the concept of getting 18 tiny burgers in a box to go is somewhat appealing to completely trashed college students on the weeknights.

I think it would do just fine. People eat a lot worse than White Castle; you'll have plenty of business.

They have no competition basically. All the other donut shops are mom & pop deals. Krispy Kreme dominates because they have actually built a name for themselves, and everyone has heard the name by now.

Not to mention White Castle is open 24 hours (plus for the college crowd again) and their coffee is well respected and known as some of the best. I personally don't like White Castle. I'm from Texas originally where they don't have them. Here in Columbus, they do. Every time I've had them, I get the runs. Hence the term "slyders". There are no Jack In The Box's here in Ohio and I have always wondered if one would succeed here. Just remember, it's all about logistics. If you're the only White Castle within 800 miles, they're not going to want to send 1 truck your way everytime you need restocking.

white castle is ok, but I haven't eaten it for a while. I stopped eating fast food for a couple of years, now it just all kind of grosses me out.

You have In-N-Out, you don't need white castle!

Krispy Kreme overextended themselves but they sure make some damn good doughnuts. We used to sell them for fundraisers when I was a kid.
