UFC 64: What the **** just happened?

Did anyone else watch it tonight? Seriously. I know Anderson Silva was a slight favorite being from Pride and all but dear god! He completely dismantled Rich. I mean damn! I think Rich got intimidated when he landed 4 leg kicks and about 5 punches and the guy didn't even flinch or budge. Then he got in the Muay Thai clinch and couldn't do a thing. Silva must be a shit ton stronger than you'd ever imagine. He owned him the entire fight. I am questioning Rich's health though. It definitely was not the RF we're used to see in the cage.

Definitely sad to see though. I love Rich. Great guy and great fighter!

Ya.....I like Franklin and guys like Hughes and Liddell a lot as champions. But, I've always been iffy on how they would fair against competition outside the UFC.

You could almost see this coming after seeing the Silva and Leben fight. Yes, as mentioned, Leben is not as good as Franklin, but the way Silva moved and striked.....you know he's deadly.

Rich Franklin is MMA. Anderson Silva is Muay Thai kickboxing. World class muay thai striker to top it off. That's what happened.

I don't think anyone in the UFC right now can touch Silva. Dana white mentioned Mike Swick as a contender during the post press conference. Swick is gonna get it worse than Franklin and Leben.

I think the most messed up part is where Silva left Franklin's nose.

Also, I really think that Franklin was no were near the conditioning he normally fights at and he seemed to still be favoring his broken hand.

If I lived near some guys that loved UFC I would have no problem with putting money to watch the paperviews. I live in northern NJ close to the GW Bridge.

broke it? No. It was taken apart and relocated to under his ear. lol I definitely think something was wrong with him though. He didn't look confident at all. Sick? Hurt (I mean he did come out with a black eye!)? Intimidated? Something was wrong.

His nose was definately broken, and I dont care who you are two knees to the face will ruin your day. I am a huge Franklin fan and seriously couldnt believe what happened, it looked like he was trying to protect his mid section in the clinch which left his face wide open which led to his KO.

The fight between Florian and Sherk was the bloodiest thing Ive seen lol.

yeah, I'm insanely impressed with Sherk. His conditioning was amazing, especially seeing how much blood he lost! There were literally puddles of standing blood in spots. DAMN! They both came out looking like they were in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Saw movie. I never thought Florian should've been given the shot and it showed his inexperience. Don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter but not champion potential. I don't really think Sherk will hold the title as long as Liddell, Hughes or Franklin. He's a great fighter but easily could be picked apart by someone with more tools than "Ken Flo." BTW, anyone who calls himself Ken Flo doesn't need to be on TV. Retarded!

i thought it was pretty sad when florian came out dressed like a samurai, i didnt him before the fight but after seeing is samurai entrance i hated him even more. and he kept "cheating" hanging on to the fence or wall of the octagon and hanging on to sherk's shorts. but yea the franklin fight was a surprise in a way that it ended so quickly, i thought silva was gonna win from the beginning but i didnt think he would win that easily. another thing that was comedy was some of the names of the fighters that fought before the main events. it was the "pretty boy" vs 'the carpenter' lol
