H/S girls WTF

Ok, maybe this is just a SoCal thing, but I think not...

What is up with these high school girls dressing all skanky these days. I know I've been out of h/s for 10 years, but girls did not dress like this when I was in h/s!

I see this all the time. I was just outside having a smoke and this girl, maybe 14-15 is walking by with these tight ass pants on and a shirt with hew boobs hanging out...Then, at the gym, I see these girls with there sweats rolled down at the waits and shirts tied in the front showing off there belly button rings ---me slapping myself for my thoughts

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...I mean I like to look (no touch!). I mean if this was my little girl there is no way in hell I would let her out of the house like that! Are they just begging for sex? Or what?

Just my observations...

People in general are growing up faster these days. Middle school kids are dressed like me when I was in HS. HS kids are more dressed like they're in their late teens!

Meh, y'can't stop "progess".

Kids are growing up a lot faster in general. I have seen little kids with boobies bigger than mine. I've heard there are more horomes in the foods now so people develope quicker. Sooo in result of this they think because they look grown up they can dress and act grown up. The second problem in this is the parents are obviously not being parents and raising their kids right. I have a 7 year old and I can tell you she does these little skanky dances she see's Brittney Spears etc. doing. And she gets put in her place real quick because she WILL NOT grow up to be like that.

I have to agree my cousin Victoria is only 13 and she looks much older and had makup on and a mini skirt. WTF I don't remember when i was in school girls doing that. It's so crazy. There are no parents these days it's big kids raising little kids. I will not have my kids dressing inapropriate at all. I think that all schools should have a uniform policy. It will keep kids from worrying about looking cool like 50 cent, Eminem, or Brittney Spears. It's less ways for kids to get singled out or picked on and it will keep them focused on school.

I partially agree, although I think it's more TV and the media raising kids than parents.......

skittles: took the words right out of my mouth....kids nowadays are VERY influenced by the media, its quite sad acctually....Im happy I was never heavily influenced by the media...I buy what I like, my clothes, my music, my cars =D (Si FTW)...

But I also think its that kids now want to grow up faster and in order to do that you have to look older, and many girls think that looking "sluty", dressing skimpy and wearing makeup is the way....personaly I don't look twice at these girls, theres nothing attractive in it.....

It's only been two years since I graduated from high school, so this is no surprise to me. I think I began to just take it as normal clothing since it was so common. *shrug*

I hear ya. I have to deal with it now. My daughter is 12 going on 23. She doesn't dress skanky but the kids wear the hiphuggers and tight tees. It's the style and if they don't follow it, they get ridiculed by their peers. Remember what it was like when you were in school with dressing in the style of everyone else?

I think girls dress like sluts these days. The style of clothing that is in for them makes them look like two bit actresses or singers (many of which think they can do both, but fail), and they end up demeaning themselves looking like whores.

Guys on the otherhand...we'll not go there.

Look at MTV. Every girl on there is dressed like a hoe. I was watching the Family Channel the other night and the son was going out on a date and he was discussing with his father on if he would be able to feel her boobs on the first date. THE FAMILY CHANNEL!!!! It's no wonder they dress and act like this. It's constantly thrown in their faces
