Well i got to say. Most men prefer a girl to be reserved when dating or choosing a soul mate. When you want a good time and you are single not looking for a reserved girl most guys when single and I use this term loosely seek the slut cause they don't want commitment. But me I never went after girls like that yeah they are nice to look at but it's just not for me. My wife never dressed skanky. That's why I chose her. I have more respect for a girl who is reserved. But that doesn't mean that she has to be that way all the time. It's more fun to see her dress hot for me in privacy or every now and then. But that is just me.

girls who ask for attention: ex: dressing slutty // acting like a priss.. do not deserve my attention. Girls who dress moderately.. but not long skirts, but cute, and know how to treat themselves get a big +
Although there are none of these girls on here.. just a bunch of guys and I have absolutely nothing to earn from them (like respect) maybe some 14-25 year old male will read this and grow up, maybe cause yeah.. some guys I work with are like 20+ and act 16- :\... its hard to tell them what to do too.. but they'll learn when they're 40 w/ no kids and divorced.. twice

It makes me sick that there are no standards for males to live up to like these for women.
Yeah, we'll hear, "Ew, that guy needs to be bath/make two eyebrows, not one/shave/buy new clothes", but we never judge men as such. Women are constantly judged for being whores and such, epitomized by sex appeal. I think it's disgusting, and the fact that some women buy into it and continue that trend makes me even more sick.

sidestory: a buddy of mine (hes 22) went to a club and started hitting it off with this girl who was dancing up against him and... well use your imagination about what happens in clubs now... so he asked for her number and then he asked how old she was.... 14!... so yeah dunno how she got into club and he def did not keep that number... I think some girls like the attention and want to hit it with an older, perhaps more mature, or smarter guy cuz nowadays some guys in hs are just stupid and immature (no offence to anyone here in highschool)..... true story...

Anybody in this thread HAVE a teenaged daughter? I do and it's hell sometimes. Fortunately she's very bright and going to college half days while still a junior in HS. Her book smarts are superb. It's the common sense part that has me worried. Why do they all want to grow up so fast. My daughter doesn't dress or want to dress way skanky but there are some things that cross the line. If I go make her change before school, she gets the attitude thing going. That bugs me too. I would have gotten whacked across the room if I copped a 'tude with my folks. I'm more of a grounding/reduce priviledges kinda dad.
Anyway, there are way too many outside influences messing with teens these days. I try to stay very, very involved with my girl is doing. I want to know where she is at all times too. But it's still hard to monitor everything. I do blame myspace or xanga for some thing too. Read some to the things that people post and it isn't hard to figure out why our society has so many off kilter people. I banned her from thos sites while she still lives at home. She was giving out way too much info. What she does when she goes full time to college away from home is her business but I'm going to try to impress upon her as much common sense as possible. This is not to imply that I know everything or always do the right thing but at 45, I've seen enough and done enough to know the difference more than some people. |
