93 Octane for $1.53?!?!

And for you R18 folks...
89 Octane for $1.39!?!?!?

What on Earth!? Where on Earth?!

J/k. It's in the Mall of America. They have a convenience store from the Gas station Holiday in the mall. The pumps were actual working pumps that were donated in 1995. The prices are set to the gas price then. Cruel huh? Got a love a twisted sense of humor.

Hahaha imagine someone trying to actually steal the pump out of the store? or better yet try to drive in the mall to refuel!

I agree with Tim, "A year ago?"

Summer of 2005, I took a road trip to California and back. I was in an S2000 and premium gas prices were running around $2.30/gal in Texas and went up 20 to 30 cent/gal in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. While in California, I averaged around $2.80/gal with the highest price I paid was around $2.95/gal. There were a few places that were over $3.00/gal for premium but they were easy enough to avoid.

This summer (August, 2006), I was in California again with some friends, this time on motorcycles, and "regular" was running $3.60 to $3.80/gal out there. It wasn't hard to find premium at over $4.00/gal. Here in Texas, prices for regular were around $2.95/gal.

Today, only two months later, I've got gas stations within 5 miles of the house that are selling regular fuel for $1.95/gal. Most places are $1.99 to $2.05/gal on regular fuel. It's just crazy, but I'll take it while I can. It's nice to fill up for less than $20 again! [:)]

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

yeah so does anywhere else have a new pricing level for premium over reg? It used to be $.10 increments but now $.15 more for middle and $.30 more for premium. It's only in KC where in Topeka and Lawrence (surrounding areas) are still only a dime difference. WTF????

I investigated that thing like it was my job trying to figure it out. I figured that maybe these minnesotans had a thing for scooters and that's what it was for. Goofy and airheaded I know. But it was weird to see it.

Around here, Texas Gulf Coast, we're still averaging $.10 increments between grades. Sometimes you'll find stations that will modify that a little, like $2.00 for regular, $2.05 for mid grade and $2.20 for premium as apposed to $2.00, $2.10, and $2.20 respectively but it all works out the same.
