free music downloading software?

what the hell happned to winmx? i need some tunes and winmx seemed to have taken a dump.

I use http://www.mininova.org and Bitlord to download all my music/software/movies.

www.slsk.org if I'm not mistaken. Been using it for 4 years straight and I've never looked back at anything else. if you have a router you need to set it up properly or else it'll look like it sucks. but once it's setup, goddamn there's a lot to d/l.

you can also control who you share to at a user basis instead of exposing your library to the entire planet.

I used to use iMesh awhile ago, but haven't tried it lately. Limewire isn't my favorite, but it gets the job done.

iMesh...wow haven't heard that since about 1999. That was one hurtin' P2P back then, I'm not sure about it now.
