Also lots of interior/stereo, clutch, tranny etc etc and too many things to list.

It's a beast...way faster and corners much flatter than my Si. Love driving it. Needless to say it is a little less practical than the Si though! (and the mileage is not even close) I have plans to turbo it in the future. It will be a real tire smoker with 400hp and 400 torque at around 2700 lbs (a 240 would probably be 2500ish lbs similarly equipped but with a more flexy frame)

Youre car is absolutely amazing...it really makes me want to go out and buy one for myself

Post more pics if you have them

Youre right the rx-7 isnt anything to be amazed by, but its a great handling car. The 944 on the other hand has some classic styling and nice body lines, I really love the look, plus you can tell everyone you drive a v8 Porshe

I envy those with the 200 series Zs. They're so beautiful! :)

These are considered the only "classic" Japanese cars...or so I'm told...they are beauties!!!!

Ask and ye shall receive!

These pics are from the Ontario Z club Z-Fest this year

10" sub custom installed into spare tire well w/ custom deck carpet

Interior is custom, but in the style of the original. Seats and door panels are in leather and suede, headliner is suede, carpet is wool, custom leather shift and parking brake boot, seats fully rebuilt with custom racing belt holders in billet aluminum, lots of parts replaced. Stereo is 5ch alpine amp with boston pro5.5 front component speakers, boston NX97 6x9 rears, and Kaption 10" sub. The flash makes the suede look like purple velour, but I can assure you it looks much better in person! These pics are from last year before I removed the dash and had it recovered in the states. There aren't too many shops around that restore dashboards!

And here is my Si, which I also love!

I love Zs--they're the best looking Japanese classic sports cars IMO. Whatever you do don't get the 280ZX, which has that nasty bumper covering the grille. Plus the interior's ugly.

240Z's the prettiest (the turn signal lights are below the lights as opposed to embedded into the grille), but the 280Z's probably the most practical since it has fuel injection rather than carbs.

I wouldn't worry too much about little details like turn signal location. If you change the bumpers on a 280 to 240 style, 99% of people wouldn't be able to tell the two apart. You can always change to 240 style turn signals if it really matters.

You can add FI to a 240Z, which you must do if you go turbo. But, you have to change the fuel tank to a 280 tank with a fuel pump, and there is more wiring involved. I have a programmable FI system in my 280, as the stock FI system sucks (its analog) for a modified engine. It would have been more work to do in a 240 for sure, but still doable. For instance, I just tapped into the existing fuel pump line instead of having to route one from scratch.

I would just try to get the cleanest one possible. It is hard to find them with minimal rust. A 280 is about 200lbs heavier than a 240 similarly equipped (280 is more than 200lbs heavier stock, but has much bigger bumpers, heavier duty tranny and diff, bigger wheels and tires, etc), but you are getting a stiffer chassis, better side impact protection, and lots of little things like improved hardware/gauges/hvac and tons of other things they improved over the years. I can say for sure that a 240 is a more "tinny" feeling ride whereas the 280 is more solid. I would go 280 for a street car as it is a better built car and 240 for a track car because the frame itself is lighter.
