What do you do for Haircuts?

As the title states.. What do you do?.

I usually go to a girl at a local place but she has been away lately, giving me ample time to try different places as my hair grows super fast.

Anyways, First up was the Barber shop. This place was smaller than a walk in closet, but they were very friendly and cheap. I payed 14.00 for a full cut and was satisfied, but they missed afew places. Oh well- this was just at closing. (this was acouple months ago)

I then went to "City Looks" salon and spa the other evening. I walked in and asked they did guys haircuts. The girl checked with someone else and said "forsure, just go take a seat over there". Right after I sat down, an extremely gorgeous girl walked up, introduced herself and asked me what i would like done. Ofcourse, just a plain cut, and a shortening of the sideburns was in order. She nodded and said she was up for the task

Anyways-- Im used to the usual just wet down the hair before hand but she gave me a kickass head massage (dont get sick). So we go back to the chair, and she starts working away and has it done perfect-- leaving me looking more stunningly handsome than i already was.

She put some "product" in and it and called it a night. 25 for the cut w/ a tip. Which was like 3 dollars more than it usually costs me at the other place. Needless to say-- I think this is where i will be going from now on.

So what do you guys do... Barber? Salon? Supercuts? or bowl on the head- homemade job FTW?

I go to a walk-in place near my house every 4 months, more out of laziness than anything else. $22 already includes tip. :) I love it because they accept walk-ins. Not many around my area does, and when they do, they usually suck about it.

Sportclips. $18 with tip. While you're waiting, watch sports. While you're getting your haircut, you watch sports. No more having to talk to the hairdresser about where you work, are you married, do you have kids. Just watch sports and get a haircut.

i go to a salon in downtown... $45 for a cut, but they serve you drinks while you wait (pop, water bottle, cappuccino, reg coffee, etc). i get a good neck/shoulder masssage too... i've been going there since Jan of this year. they even have a computer file of what i like to have done. pretty nifty stuff.

Is that in Columbus? If I had known that place existed I'd have been all over it, heh.

My friend's mom is a hair stylist, so I always go to her. I always come in with like pictures of hair styles and she always sits down with me and talks about it before actually getting it done. I haven't had any time to go to the shop lately, but I'm thinking about getting my hair layered (god that sounds feminine).

She works in a high class store, but she always insists I pay a discounted rate because I'm a student.. but you know how that goes, she feels sorry because I'm a broke ass student and I feel sorry because she has a family to feed.. She only asks for $25 (half price), but I always pay $50.. unless she totally refuses, then I find a way to repay it i.e. buying her son a few drinks. That was only when I had short hair too.. I think she charges a minimum of $100 for girl's hair. Kinda pricey salon.

Ditto. I cut my own hair. Not as fun as the barber shop. But it saves money for mods.

I pay $15 with tip at Haircuttery. Includes cut, shampoo, head massage, product, and cool conversation with a hot chick while she cuts my hair. Been going to her for about 6 months or so. But she is going to some spa/salon soon, so I might have to fork out some more $$$. She's the only chick that can actually cut my hair. She uses scissors not clippers on the top. I keep it short and my hair is super thick.

I cut my own with a set of clippers and a couple mirrors properly placed. Done. Not hard to fade once you get used to it. Otherwise, I'll just do it in the kitchen or something with a single guard and do one size all over. Easy. Done in 10 minutes, 15 after cleanup. Oh and did I mention free? I had to replace a cutter once.... so $50 total for 7 years of hair cuts. Done and done!

yep, it's all about cutting your own hair

If i feel like it, I go to a woman that's been cutting my hair forever. she used to come to our house, but now we call her whenever and go there for a $10 haircut. She's awesome, haha

Yup I've been doing it for about 3 years now. It takes me an hour to fade it and everything. My top is a #7 then I do a #6,5,4,3,2, then finally 1 on the sides and all the way around to fade it up.

Ive been using a barbar shop owned by a middle aged lady for 19 of the past 20 years. She is a walk in only. Cuts my hair just like I want it. Either a going to court special or leave it long in the back. The wife likes afew curls to play with. :) In and out, $10.00 including tip and gone.

Last year I had to find another cutter. Helen had a battle with breast cancer. She won so Im back in her chair. In the meantime I use one of the wife friends and her little salon. The cut was good and she rubbed your neck with her big fake boobs. Then she divirced her husband. he threw her down a flight of stairs and blew one of her fake boobs out. At that point her prices dubbled and she didnt want to cut mens hair anymore. Guess she started hating our whole gender and she could ripp off her gender more per hour to pay for her new boob she needed.

The lady who cuts my hair charges $12 per haircut. She uses clippers around the sides and back with the #2 attachment, cuts it short on top with scissors, then blends it in where they meet.
