Talking R Radar Detector Legal?

Just curious if anyone's been pulled over for having a radar detector mounted on their windshield. I feel like it's illegal but would like the facts.

I'm pretty sure it's different in each state I'd call your local Police Department and ask.

there are plenty of threads on here regarding detectors and stuff. do a little search for 'em. In cali, not illegal. I think 99% sure that jammers are illegal in CA.

It's legal everywhere except VA and DC as far as I know. Don't get caught with one there. $75 ticket I believe.

Radar detectors are legal in most states, but check to be sure. Things change and internet information can be outdated.

Radar jammers are illegal in ALL states. It is a federal offense to use one.

Last I read, laser jammers are legal in most or all states. If you're serious about evading laser radar and know it is frequently used in your area, then a laser jammer is your only realistic defense...laser detectors cannot warn you quickly enough to avoid a ticket.

Radar detectors are LEGAL in California...however, some municipalities have ordinances against them...like 6speed said check with teh local cops...just call the buisnees line. Radar Jammers are ILLEGAL in California...Its alsoILLEGAL to have anything in your windshield (including airfreshners and radar detectors).
