That sucks. I'm not cut out for this stuff any more.

I'm sure he went out doing what he thought needed to be done.

I wish every soldier had this kind of memorial. I'm tired of hearing about all the fallen soliders as a damn statistic on the news. murders get more media coverage, rather then the men and women willing to risk there lives for us over here.

I did an active duty funeral here in Arkansas once...

There is no greater honor than to lay a fallen brother/sister to rest after they gave their all. It is an experiance I will never forget and I highly suggest you attend a military members funeral and pay your respects. Hearing taps always sends a shiver down my spine.

I salute Sgt John Beagle for paying the ultimate price and defending what he believed in. My prayers go out to those he left behind.

I'm in the Army stationed at Fort Benning. About two years ago I actively volunteered to go overseas. I really wanted to (I know most people would call me crazy). Instead they stationed me at Fort Benning (little stint at Fort Gordon). I was furious about it at first, but as the numbers roll on.. i'm happy that I don't have to put my family and friends through what SSG Beale's family and friends are going through. He paid the ultimate sacrifice, and I thank him and his family. But he followed the orders put forth, and did it with honor. My condolences... and the promise we will fight for what you believed in.

I finally got courage to watch the video... I'm sitting here at home and teared up. I don't know SSG Beale or his family. But I know that their family knows that all of us hurt for his loss deeply. We all shed a tear for him.
