Why do you pitty him? They are quick. I don't care what anyone says about it being a neon. I used to say the same thing. Until I raced one. When I raced it the guy ran a 14.9 and he wasn't the owner. Earlier in the night the guy got a 14.3 that's not in my eyes bad for a stock car.

Funny, my friend IM'd me and told me he just got an 05 SRT (White), first i asked him why? but he was happy with his new car, since his last was an old Escort GT. Soon the mod bug will bite and poof... all his money will be gone. like mine.

they are fast cars, no one can deny that. Just not quality made.

In just about everything other than the engine, seeing as how that's where all the money went (no, I've never owned one, but I do have multiple close friends with them). They're not TERRIBLE, but the Cobalt has a better build quality (both have poor seats, but that's what the aftermarket is for). Everything about the SRT-4 looks and feels cheap. Until you step on the gas pedal. Then who really gives a sh*t. haha...I'm really impressed with not just their stock power but their responsiveness to mods. Crazy.

I don't see any problems with the car. I personally wouldn't probably want to own a Neon, but it's quick, no one's going to deny that, but the build quality is probably subjective...

+a million

I had no respect what-so-ever for srt4's until I actually started hanging out with a guy that has one modded. That thing is retarded fast. I rolled around with him last night while he was just murdering evo's and sti's left and right. The thing is, he really hasn't spent all that much money and he has a stage 2 turbo/waste gate and a down pipe. The last time he really tuned it to work hard he was spiking 28-30 lbs.
Honestly it made me think twice about what my next car will be.. until I got out and looked at it :P

Everybody hates on the srt4 Because you can get a fast car at a cheap price. I'll just say that i wouldn't race one if i had the si.

When it really comes down to it, it's more of a pt cruiser gt than a neon. The only thing neon about that car is the interior/exterior. It's on a pt cruiser chassis and same motor as the gt, although it's hella reinforced. I know the tranny has only been in the srt4, and the turbo/intercooler has only been in the srt4. If you're looking for a badass straight line car (with suprisingly decent resale value) for 20k, the srt4 is definately the way to go. If I had the money I would have an si and an srt4.. si = daily driver and srt4 = haul balls.

I can't believe I'm sticking up for an srt4 here. ehh, whatever.

Just got a ride in this yellow "bumble-bee"

Ok, my friend who bought the yellow bumble-bee gave me a ride.

Its fast - I dont think its fast as the Si, but it would be a good race - MAYBE...

The quality is, from looks wise, is shoddy at best.

I'll stick with my Honda Si!

P.S., This confirmed by pitty

With mine being stock and his too - I, personally, think it would be a racers race.....

Since he is 52 and doesnt really race or anything, I'd eat'em and spit him out

Sorry to burst your bubble man, but i currently own a 05 srt4 which is much faster than the Si, however I will be trading it in for an Si when my 07 is built. As said before a fun car to drive, but the quality is terrible i speak from expierence. They have a ton of problems which is why many people get away from them as soon as possible. FYI i ran 14 flat stock@101, and 13.8 with S1 and CAI. My 2 cents.....
