Thumbs up THE insurance thread, to end all Insurance threads

Ok, so there are way too many insurance threads. I intend this to end all of that. All the threads I've seen on insurance are disorganized and incomplete.

So, here I have a simple, yet effective solution: Copy and paste the below info into your post and fill in your own numbers. If you don't have a certain coverage leave it blank or put N/A.

This will give us a true picture of what others are paying and what other carriers are charging...

Other Cars on policy: None
*edit* age: 28
Vehicle: 2006 Civic Si w/nav
I live in: Ventura County, CA
Fault or no Fault state: Fault
Accidents in last 3 years (at fault): None
Ticket's in last 3 years: 2
2 Point tickets (DUI, Racing, Wreckless driving) in last 3 years: None
Insurance Carrier: Mercury Insurance

Coverages (common):

Bodily injury: 100/300
Property damage: 100
Collision: 500 deductibe
Comprehensive: 100 deductible
Rental Car: $30 a day/30 days
Towing/labor: N/A
Medical payments: $5000

Total cost: 850 for 6 months

Re: fault or no fault states: Most states are fault states. The no fault states I can think of off hand are: FL, NY, Massachussetts (at least used to be), NJ (I think)...I'm sure there are others.

You probably know if your in a "no fault state"

If you DO live in a no fault state please add PIP (Personal Injury Protection) to your post and how much coverage.

Every time I pay money to the insurance company. I feel like, I'm paying protection money from the hit man.
